Senators voted Wednesday to rebuke President Trump and cancel his border emergency, saying he overstepped his powers in grabbing $3.6 billion Congress approved for military construction projects and instead spending it on his campaign promise to build a border wall. The 54-41 vote is unlikely to stop the president, though. While the measure is likely to pass the House, a veto is expected — and Wednesday’s tally showed there are more than enough Republicans ready to sustain Mr. Trump... The vote was a do-over. Congress held a similar vote in March, after Mr. Trump, furious that Congress approved only $1.375...

As Donald Trump began his meteoric rise to the presidency, the Obama White House summoned Ukrainian authorities to Washington to coordinate ongoing anti-corruption efforts inside Russia’s most critical neighbor. The January 2016 gathering, confirmed by multiple participants and contemporaneous memos, brought some of Ukraine’s top corruption prosecutors and investigators face to face with members of former President Obama’s National Security Council (NSC), FBI, State Department and Department of Justice (DOJ). The agenda suggested the purpose was training and coordination. But Ukrainian participants said it didn’t take long — during the meetings and afterward — to realize the Americans’ objectives included...

An announcement from my legal guy, Zen Master, on the court/judge situation: Senate Hearings on Eugene Scalia for Labor Secretary will run about 30 hours and will bump back confirmation of two more judges this week. Scalia is a great choice. Now, here is the article "A Whole New Ballgame" https://empiricalscotus.com/2019/09/25/a-whole-new-ballgame/ It shows that not only is Trump moving faster than anyone else (MUCH faster than Zero) but that his nominees are MUCH more conservative, much more likely to be truly "diverse" as means coming from someplace other than Harvard or Yale (U AL, U GA, U Texas law schools,...

That is where there is growing evidence a foreign power was asked, and in some cases tried, to help Hillary Clinton. In its most detailed account yet, the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington says a Democratic National Committee (DNC) insider during the 2016 election solicited dirt on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman and even tried to enlist the country's president to help. Jonathan Martin of the New York Times asked the senator if it was "appropriate for the House to begin this inquiry on impeachment?"...
