House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was singing a very different tune on impeachment when it was President Bill Clinton who was being accused by a Republican-led House of Representatives.
“Today the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance," then-House Minority Leader Pelosi declared on the House floor in December 1998.
She continued, "In the investigation of the president, fundamental principles which Americans hold dear -- fairness, privacy, checks and balances -- have been seriously violated and why? Because we are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton. ... Until the Republicans free themselves of that hatred, our country will suffer.”

And Republicans got their asses handed to them for impeaching Clinton..now Dems, because they can’t deal with the fact that Trump beat them in 2016, are doing it 10 times over

And many states still have adultery on the books as a prosecutablw crime. My state does.
This is a part of this, they want to hang the impeachment stain around Trump’s neck.

They’re engaged in a partisan vendetta and they have nothing that rises to the level of an impeachable offense.
There isn’t even an underlying crime alleged here.

Clinton committed perjury.
He was a perjurer: clear grounds for impeachment.
He’s also a multiple rapist of course. Not to mention the world-spanning fraud, drugs and murder.
Clinton committed a felony and also dishonored the Oval Office.
Democrats forgave him for it. So by their low standards, why can’t we forgive Trump?
