Following controversy over a board member’s pro-Trump fundraising event earlier this month, tensions at the Shed in New York have heightened. Last week, the Observer reported that two artists—A. L. Steiner and Zackary Drucker—had removed their work in protest of the political gathering—organized by Shed supporter Stephen M. Ross in the Hamptons—from an exhibition on view at the multidisciplinary art space. Two days after that report, another action followed. On Sunday, as part of a performance, artist and DJ Thanushka Yakupitiyage and a guest performer, singer and harpist Elsz, brandished T-shirts and hung signs that protested Ross, a real-estate developer...

21-year-old Israa Ghrayeb posted a photo of herself on Instagram one day before she was to be engaged. This was too much for the family who sent in her brother to beat and torture the woman for dishonoring her family. On the first day of the beatings Israa broke her back when she ‘fell’ out of a two story window. On the second day her brother Ihab came back and murdered his sister. Anti-Semitic Democrat and Squad member Rashida Tlaib blamed the Jews for her honor killing.

Ever since the Bugatti Chiron was launched, with a 261-mph speed limiter, we've been desperate to know what it could manage if let off the leash. Now Bugatti has done that at the vast Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany; the car smashed both the production-car record and the 300-mph barrier. Factory test driver Andy Wallace, who previously set production-car records in both the Jaguar XJ220 and the McLaren F1, drove a slightly modified Chiron to a time, certified by the German TÜV organization, of 304.773 mph. The Chiron used was in what is described by Bugatti as "near production" spec,...

Is it just me or does Boris Johnson look and act a lot like Donald Trump? I don't believe anybody has made this comparison before but I think they are very similar in a lot of ways. Sorry but that horrid "Git Up" song by Blanco Brown has nothing whatsoever to do with country music. This is Bloggers & Personal so I get to post pretty much whatever i want to here.

Old Uncle Joe needs an intervention. 2020 Democrat hopeful Joe Biden said on Monday during a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that the US government needs to ban “magazines that can hold multiple bullets in them.” But Biden wasn’t done with his attacks on the 2nd Amendment in the wake of the mass shooting in Texas. Biden then claimed that banning magazines and banning “assault rifles” (hint: there is no such thing as assault rifles) is “no violation of the Second Amendment.”

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) released another update on Hurricane Dorian, which has been downgraded to a Category 4 storm but continues to pose a major risk — packing life-threatening flash floods and hurricane-force winds — to the coasts of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. The NHC released the latest track at 11 a.m. ET, which did not show major changes but kept the U.S. east coast within the cone of uncertainty:

ODESSA, Texas (AP) — The gunman in a spate of violence after a routine traffic stop in West Texas had just been fired from his job and called both police and the FBI before the shooting began, authorities said Monday. Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke said 36-year-old Seth Aaron Ator had been fired Saturday from Journey Oilfield Services. He said both Ator and the company called 911 after the firing but that Ator was gone by the time police showed up. FBI special agent Christopher Combs says Ator’s statements on the phone were “rambling.” Authorities said Ator killed seven people...

CBD is now legal with no prescription necessary, but it's also largely unregulated, which means consumers don't always know what they're getting. CBD is derived from cannabis or hemp, but it contains very little or no THC so it does not make you high. Some people said it helps with a wide range of ailments from pain to anxiety. "Everyone is just trying to jump on the bandwagon. You have grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores and corner stores that are selling this stuff," said Nicholas Patrick, owner of Embrace CBD Wellness Center in Glen Burnie. Many retailers are selling...

Devin Nunes (R-CA), the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Sunday evening that the Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General (IG) report on former FBI director James Comey, and the DOJ’s decision not to press charge, does not mean he is out of the woods. Nunes said that Comey, who President Donald Trump fired as FBI director in the first few months of his presidency sparking the...

Jim Mattis, the former Marine Corps general and Pentagon chief, has lashed 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden for fueling the rise of ISIS by insisting on the total withdrawal of U.S. troops in Iraq. "You may want a war over. You may declare it over. You may even try to walk away from it. But the bottom line is the enemy gets a vote, as we say in the military, and we simply have got to understand that terrorism is going to be an ambient threat," he said in an NPR interview. As vice president, Biden was tasked by President...

In celebrating Labor Day on Monday, President Donald Trump is recognizing the “American workers,” who are “the heart and soul of our Nation’s economic resurgence.” Noting that he’s been fighting “for an agenda that puts American workers first,” the president pointed out that millions of jobs were added, the unemployment rate reached near record lows, and wages were increased for many Americans. Trump also showcases his accomplishments under his “Promises Kept” section on his 2020 reelection campaign website. “Today, we honor those Americans whose contributions have turned our country into an economic powerhouse, and we renew our commitment to create...

"...Not the very white / Not the moralizing / Not the forbidding / But the burning / the desiring/ For you, passion still has a future." These verses of Gabriel Ringlet say a lot about his faith and the rites of celebration that he wants to re-enchant by inviting artists, believers and others, to celebrate with him. Here we have the least dogmatic faith possible. His own poetry brings a generous light, like his rites. He does not want to be called "father"... "We have a conception of the priest and the priesthood that are part of the false sacred....

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, took actress and liberal activist Alyssa Milano to task over her faith-based question about the Bible and the Second Amendment. On Sunday, Milano responded to Republican Texas state Rep. Matt Schaefer's tweet that he was "NOT going to use the evil acts of a handful of people to diminish the God-given rights of my fellow Texans. Period. None of these so-called gun-control solutions will work to stop a person with evil intent" following a shooting rampage in Odessa that killed seven and injured at least 22. "Can someone cite which passage of the Bible God states...
