The Trump administration will officially launch a new combatant command dedicated to space next week. Vice President Pence and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford announced at Tuesday’s National Space Council meeting in Virginia that U.S. Space Command will officially be up and running Aug. 29. House Democrats are looking to speed up their lawsuit against the Treasury Department and IRS over their refusal to turn over President Trump's tax returns. The House Judiciary Committee announced a Sept. 4 vote on a group of measures aimed at reducing gun violence. “For far too long, politicians in Washington have only offered thoughts and prayers in the wake of gun violence tragedies,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said. “Thoughts and prayers have never been enough.
