The “Never Trump” movement has a new ally: hedge fund boss Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired in 2017 after serving 11 days as communications director in President Donald Trump’s White House. Anti-Trump pundit and veteran Republican operative Bill Kristol confirmed to CNBC in a few brief text messages that he has spoken to Scaramucci since the SkyBridge Capital founder had a public falling out with Trump this summer. Asked whether he has spoken to Scaramucci about trying to find another presidential candidate to replace Trump on the top of the GOP ticket next year, Kristol said: “Yup.” But Kristol, who...

Philadelphia: Maurice Hill, who wounded six cops in shootout, is devout Muslim who attended jihadi mosque AUG 16, 2019 12:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER You can see from the impressive zebiba on Maurice Hill’s forehead that he is a devout Muslim; the zebiba is a bruise that forms from the fact that Muslims in their five daily prayers perform numerous prostrations, pressing their foreheads to the ground. The zebiba is seen as a mark of intense piety. That in itself doesn’t make this a jihad attack, but the teachings of the mosque, from the looks of this report, are clearly...

To the extent that I care at all about Israel blocking entry to two U.S. congresswomen who partner with anti-Semites who seek its destruction, I agree with critics who argue that Bibi Netanyahu should not appear to bow to Donald Trump’s tweeted demands and that blocking Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar from visiting Israel handed them a short-term propaganda victory. But that’s not the most important part of the story. The most important element of the story is the fact that two American congresswomen shunned a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel to go on an independent trip to Israel sponsored...

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A controversial protest is planned Friday night in North Philadelphia to support Maurice Hill, the alleged gunman accused of shooting six Philadelphia police officers. Organizers say they expect 200 to 300 people to rally tonight. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross says police will be there too. “Sadly, we do have to be there, I don’t understand it. There’s certain marches I do understand, this is definitely not one of them,” Ross said. Hill is still in jail right now while he waits to be arraigned. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said Thursday Hill will most likely face...

After Hillary Clinton unexpectedly lost the Electoral College despite winning the popular vote in 2016, coming closer to the presidency than any woman had before, something changed in the psyche of scores of her supporters. While some had been afraid to even post on social media or put a Hillary bumper sticker on their car for fear of being shouted down by trolls from the right and left, Clinton's admirers — particularly women — came out of the woodwork (while Hillary went into the woods) to tell the world that their icon had been wronged. That's exactly when many of...

Medical Examiner Rules Jeffrey Epstein Death Was Suicide by Hanging © Jane Rosenberg 23:21 16.08.2019(updated 23:41 16.08.2019) The New York Medical Examiner's Office released its official autopsy report on financier and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, finding that he died from suicide by hanging. On Thursday, the Washington Post reported, citing unnamed sources, that Epstein's autopsy had found "multiple breaks in his neck bones," noting that while that kind of damage can be obtained by self-hanging, "they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation." However, Friday's official report concluded the bones were broken by Epstein kneeling...

Protesters march up the main aisle at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Portland, OR When parishes as extreme as St Francis, Portland come along, bishops and priests must act decisively The Lutheran pastor and humorist Hans Fiene recently remarked “the most obnoxious Protestants in the world are liberal boomer Catholics.” [:o)] The comment, both funny and true, was prompted by a video which surfaced of a June 30th protest at a Mass celebrated at St Francis Church in Portland, Oregon. The sparsely attended parish was filled mostly with older progressives who were angry that their new Nigerian priest,...

https://twitter.com/LarrySchweikart/status/1162366641914535937 Here is my twitter thread from this morning reviewing the voter registration changes since 2016 in AZ, FL, IA, NC, NH, NV, and PA, In general: Rs have gained significantly net since 2016 in FL, NC, and NV; have held steady in AZ (140k overall advantage), lost a tiny bit of ground in NH and IA but still lead big in both, and have gained net 70k in PA. Based on these numbers, Trump should win every state he carried in 2016 and have a very good chance to flip NH. Remember: GA, TX, WI, MI, and VA do...

By the end of the month, users in the U.S. will be able to report images that they believe spread misinformation. Those flagged posts will be reviewed by Instagram's newly-established pilot fact-checking program.

This is a remarkable op-ed in The Independent that hauls out the crying towel for Rep. Ilhan Omar and claims: "No politician in living memory has been treated as badly as Ilhan Omar." And the fault is racist America. In fact. the mainstream media fawns over Omar, giving her hateful, bigoted views loving attention whenever she opens her mouth. Apparently, the author of this love letter to Omar, Tasmiha Kahn, is also a woman "of colour who wears a headscarf." But far more than the superficial resemblance to Omar, Ms. Khan shares the same far-left philosophy as her role model....

President Trump's campaign has reportedly spent almost $500,000 on Facebook ads in Texas this year, raising questions about whether his team is concerned the normally deep-red state could flip. The Texas Tribune reported Friday that the Trump campaign spent $481,900 on the social media ads directed at Texans between Jan. 5 and Aug. 3, citing data from Bully Pulpit Interactive, a Democratic firm that monitors digital ad spending. “When we think about digital ads, we think about it in terms of, ‘Is [Trump] using them to engage and excite his existing supporters, or is he using it to reach out...

RUSH: Grab sound bite number 25. I want to get this one in and out. If I don’t do this right now when I’m thinking of it, it doesn’t fit with much else. But as a stand-alone, it’s one of these enjoyable things. This happened on CNN. Jonathan Martin, our old buddy from way back in the days when he was at Politico — and he still sends me every New York Times story he writes now. Every time I mention getting one, he sends me a little follow-up note: “Great to know you’re still reading my stuff.” Jonathan Martin....
