WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidates ratcheted up the pressure on U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to start the process of impeaching President Donald Trump after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s first public comments on his two-year Russia probe.Mueller, who was assigned to investigate Moscow’s interference in the 2016 election, on Wednesday reaffirmed that his team did not consider filing charges against Trump for obstruction of justice because U.S. Justice Department policy bars the indictment of a sitting president. Several Democratic candidates for the White House interpreted Mueller’s remarks as encouraging the Democratic-led House of Representatives to determine whether Trump tried...

It’s 3 a.m. Do you know what your iPhone is doing? Mine has been alarmingly busy. Even though the screen is off and I’m snoring, apps are beaming out lots of information about me to companies I’ve never heard of. Your iPhone probably is doing the same — and Apple could be doing more to stop it. On a recent Monday night, a dozen marketing companies, research firms and other personal data guzzlers got reports from my iPhone. At 11:43 p.m., a company called Amplitude learned my phone number, email and exact location. At 3:58 a.m., another called Appboy got...

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) claims the 1994 “assault weapons” ban prevented massacres but the Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) reported the ban could not be credited with any reduction in crime. Murphy’s claim was part of a larger attack on President Trump, wherein the Connecticut Senator was trying to place blame for mass shootings at Trump’s feet. Murphy tweeted:

This is why I’m skeptical that Netflix is going to boycott Georgia. Netflix is an unusual kind of Hollywood studio in that it is spending money at a rate that would make Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blanch, but Netflix is also having one of those “Objects in Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear” moments from a Jurassic Park movie. On the left: an AT&T-Rex (the new AT&T streaming service starring its WarnerMedia properties, set to launch in coming months). On the right, a rampaging Mousiraptor (Disney’s new streaming service, debuting in November and fueled by all of the Marvel and Pixar...

Europe's Populist Wave vs. Pope Francis Populist parties are celebrating major victories in this weekend's European Parliament elections but Pope Francis is pushing back against their quest for national sovereignty. Patriotic parties in France, Italy, Poland, Hungary and the United Kingdom are reveling in the groundswell that is sweeping into power candidates who are uniting against the European Union's attempts to control economic, moral and migration policies within each nation's sovereign borders. Globalists like Guy Verhofstadt, leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in Europe (ALDE), are clear in their desire to take away national sovereignty in order to build Europe into an empire. Verhofstadt told CNN on May 21, "The world is developing into one...

... Polis signed House Bill 1124 on Tuesday. It bars local law enforcement from arresting or detaining a suspected illegal alien solely on the basis of an ICE request. The legislation also prohibits officers from providing a suspected illegal immigrant’s personal information to ICE, and it requires Colorado police to read illegal migrants their Miranda rights when coordinating an ICE interview, the Denver Post reported. ... “Thank you to all of the people who helped to make this a reality and advocate for our immigrant community,” wrote Colorado Democratic state Rep. Adrienne Benavidez, the sponsor of the bill, in a...

Dear Mr. Mueller, It probably hasn’t escaped your attention (in my mind, nothing escapes your attention) that I play a version of you on “Saturday Night Live.” As “Robert Mueller,” my character is intimidating because he is so honest and upright. I do it for comic effect — that’s the intention anyway — but there’s also a lot of truth to it. To put it another way — it’s good-natured fun, but not entirely good-natured. There’s a level of satire, directed at the current administration. To be fair, not everyone appreciates the humor. The president has tweeted that there’s “nothing...

Robert Mueller’s months-long witch hunt into so-called ‘Russian collusion’ continues to spiral out of control. Despite hundreds of hours of non-stop liberal-media coverage, most Americans still know very little about the man behind the probe. Congressman Louie Gohmert has had enough of the special counsel’s abuse of power, and he’s prepared to ‘unmask’ Mueller’s questionable history and total lack of judgment spanning decades. In Robert Mueller: Unmasked, the GOP Representative pulls back the curtain and exposes the sordid truth surrounding the special counsel’s career. “What I have accumulated here is absolutely shocking upon the realization that Mueller’s disreputable, twisted history...

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s exhaustive report on Russian election interference marginalizes its most important finding: There was no Trump-Moscow conspiracy. “The Mueller report continued a pattern evident in the Mueller indictments,” said Jack Langer, spokesman for Rep. Devin Nunes, California Republican. “Pack the documents with vague insinuations of collusion while downplaying the actual findings that there was no collusion.” A Washington Times analysis of a redacted version of the Mueller report shows that, among its scores of bolded headlines in the table of contents, none refers to the special counsel’s paramount conclusion. Also, in the 200-page section devoted to Russia-Trump...

A San Antonio man was arrested Monday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman he met online, according to police. A 20-year-old woman reported the incident to police on April 29, eight days after the alleged assault took place. The two met on a dating website called "Meet Me," according to Perez's arrest affidavit. Perez went by "Blake" on the website and used photos of another person on his profile. They agreed to meet on April 21, and Perez picked her up and took her to a parking lot near Blanco Road and Bitters, the woman told police. Perez allegedly...

Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings is one of President Trump’s fiercest critics. Now, his wife may be in some pretty big trouble involving a “pay-to-play” scheme.” Here’s the scoop… From Fox News:House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings is fighting back against allegations that his wife’s nonprofit organization violated its tax-exempt status and posed a potential conflict-of-interest with the work of his congressional panel. Cummings statement: “These baseless claims come from a group funded by right-wing mega-donors known for their political hit jobs. I am confident that they will be exposed for what they really are – a fabricated distraction from the...

City officials in Sunland Park, New Mexico, have delivered a "cease and desist" order to the owners of land where a private border wall is being built. The project doesn't have proper permits to proceed because an application filed was incomplete, Sunland Park spokesman Peter Ibarbo told CNN. "The rules apply to everyone," Ibarbo said. "That's the process." The incomplete application isn't the only issue, Sunland Park Mayor Javier Perea told reporters Tuesday "My understanding is that city ordinance only allows a wall up to six feet tall, and this far exceeds that," he said. The city's chief inspector is...

In this article I am going to share with you a perfect example of why so many people believe that there is so little hope for the future of America. The young adults of today are going to be the leaders of tomorrow, and generally speaking the young adults of today are not in good shape. Survey after survey has shown that Millennials reject traditional American values more than any other generation that has come before them by a very wide margin. They are selfish, rude, arrogant, boastful, proud, disrespectful, ungrateful, undisciplined, slothful and completely obsessed with themselves. In fact,...

by Jenn Carter New Mexico's new Democrat governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham is certainly making a name for herself after just 5 months in office -- if being an open-borders clown with tanking approval ratings is what she's after. First, after President Trump deployed National Guard troops to the Mexican border to deal with a huge increase in illegal entries in January, she ordered them removed, calling it an "act of resistance": Lujan Grisham withdrew 118 National Guard troops from the state’s southern boundary. She said she did it to counter what she called Trump’s “charade of border fear-mongering,” and as a “protest” against Trump’s move to...

Pope Francis: Chinese bishops know they ‘must be good patriots’ to Communist regime May 29, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – In his recent marathon interview with a Mexican journalist, Pope Francis said “relations with China are good, very good” and that two Chinese bishops – one Vatican-appointed from the “underground” Church and one appointed by the Communist government – with whom he recently met “know that they must be good patriots.” For decades, the Catholic Church in China largely existed underground. It faces persecution from Communist authorities. Pope Francis’ controversial deal with China allows the government to nominate clerics from its state-run “church,”...

President Donald Trump telegraphed to the American people that Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the origins of the Russia collusion hoax is going international. The first hint that something of an alliance existed between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the international reach of the Deep State was provided by Michael Morell.
