In this article I am going to share with you a perfect example of why so many people believe that there is so little hope for the future of America. The young adults of today are going to be the leaders of tomorrow, and generally speaking the young adults of today are not in good shape. Survey after survey has shown that Millennials reject traditional American values more than any other generation that has come before them by a very wide margin. They are selfish, rude, arrogant, boastful, proud, disrespectful, ungrateful, undisciplined, slothful and completely obsessed with themselves.
In fact, one study found that they are the most narcissistic generation in American history. They feel entitled to everything, but they dont want to work for it. They want to be treated like kings and queens, but they dont see a problem with treating others like dirt. Of course there are plenty of young adults that are shining exceptions, but in general young adults under the age of 30 in America today are a complete mess.
(break) Neither of them could have been more than thirty, but both were well into adulthood. She was wearing pajamas and carrying a pillow, he had on a pair of shorts that had seen better days, and a shirt he must have been wearing for about a week given all the food stains down the front of it.

Just in certain quarters; my family members at that age are all fully-functional adults with jobs, homes and kids. :)
If they remain too self-involved to vote, we can hold out for a little while longer. ;)
They are everything that God, through Paul, told us They would be.

Scammers and grifters, who no doubt learned their trade from the likes of the Clintons, and the Obamas.
All four of mine are employed and independent. Youngest is only 19, lives on his own and is doing fine.
All are active and engaged politically. One learned his lesson. He forgot to vote for a local election which was a tie and took almost a year to resolve.
It was my sons fault.
Regardless of upbringing responsibility lies with the individual.
(The oh wait trope doesnt scream smart.)
This article describes my parents from around 2005.
Nothing wrong with America that a good world war will not solve. Draft all the snowflakes and send them for a war in Asia with China. They will learn fast.
Eh, not really. A few anecdotes, quoting a study that was self-identifying in nature, and the overall feeling that them young ‘uns is ruint that most older generations have.
‘Course, if it had been good news they’d never have said peep one, right? “If it bleeds, it ledes” and all of that.
“14-Yea-Old Begins Intership on Way to Doctorate” is not exactly gonna be good click revenue.
The people described in that article will NOT be the leaders of tomorrow. I doubt they'll ever be leaders of anything.
If they don't get their act together, though, they may end up being the targets of tomorrow.
“And yet another example of how wretched America has become”
I see sorry-azz people all the time and they are not all young by any stretch of the imagination. But the under-30s that I see most are at the gym...all races and genders. I am an old man and they treat me with great courtesy and friendliness as they do with each other and other members.
So there is hope.
ALL of my nephews and nieces except one are grown.
All are rocking and rolling through life.
Have a mini nephew/niece coming in 6 months :)
And my sisters and brothers were able to pop out good kids in NJ and NY!
There’s still a lot of good ones.
Just not as many as before...
Tech makes things too fast to get and negates the most tiny effort.
“Generation Jerk”.
Were the hippies any better, or those who spat upon the returning Vietnam vets?
This is, to say the least, an insufficient sample size.
