The company previously said it would support downgrades to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 until January 2020 and January 2023. Many white Americans like to believe the United States is a country with a level playing field, where everyone has a fair chance of making it. But a recent Bloomberg article states that race has a lot to do with your economic success. Bloomberg gathered data from economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Writer Victoria Stilwell also posed the question: Would it be possible to calculate the odds of being a millionaire for anyone in the U.S., based on age, education and race? The economists, who had already conducted extensive research on the subject, found that race...

Super PAC adjusting its focus accordingly, founder says Hillary Clinton ally David Brock says he now believes Donald Trump, not Ted Cruz, will be the likely GOP nominee. "I may have spoken too soon in predicting in December that the Democrats would face Cruz in November," Brock said in an email to CNN. "I now believe the GOP nominee is likely to be Donald Trump." Brock is the founder and chairman of American Bridge, a well-funded Democratic super PAC that supports Clinton and opposes prospective opponents....

Trump pointed at someone on the front rows and asked the crowd if the protester was wearing “one of those hatsâ€, but the media spun it to imply Trump was being a bigot by making fun of the man for being ‘one of those non-Christian foreigners’. ABC News published an article that was tweeted by their political director Rick Klein that had the headline, “Trump Mocks Protester Wearing a Turbanâ€. (Note: ABC replaced the original article in Klein’s tweet with an edited version that removed the accusation of ‘mocking’.) The ABC article was picked up by affiliates around the country...

The top Democrat on the House Select Committee on Intelligence suggested Sunday that congressional Republicans are manipulating the inspector general who recently reported about new "top secret" information found on Hillary Clinton's private email system. California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff argued that several Republican committee chairmen are investigating Clinton's use of the private system as secretary of state while "actively campaigning" against her. "I think the inspector general has to be very careful not to allow himself to be used by one political party against the other in a presidential race," Schiff told "Fox News Sunday." He also said that...

OBAMAS' LOVE BLOOMS IN 'SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU' BY SHELLEY ACOCA PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- It's the sweet, romantic story of a first date - albeit the fictionalized first date of the couple who currently occupy the White House. "Southside With You," the feature film based on Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson's first date, debuted Sunday to a packed house at the Sundance Film Festival. The movie tells the story of a single day in 1989 - the first day that summer associate, Harvard student Barack Obama (Parker Sawyers), spent with his adviser, Michelle Robinson (Tika Sumpter), a second-year associate...

Tel Aviv (dpa) - Israel's former president and prime minister Shimon Peres was rushed back to the hospital late Sunday, 10 days after he was admitted following a light heart attack. An ambulance was called to his home after Peres once again felt chest pains, a statement from his office said. A paramedic determined that the 92-year-old was experiencing an irregular heartbeat, it said. "Due to the diagnosis, his doctors decided that the 9th president will spend the night in hospital for observation and testing," the statement said. Peres underwent an angioplasty on January 14, during which a severely narrowed...

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Long optimistic about U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey winning a second term in Pennsylvania, Republicans now have something to worry about -- and it is not necessarily a strong Democratic Party challenger. Rather, a number of top Pennsylvania Republicans are fretting about a divisive Republican presidential nominee souring the state's moderate, swing voters against Toomey -- not to mention other Republican candidates on the ballot -- and dooming his re-election bid in November. The stakes are tremendous, with Democrats hoping to retake control of the U.S. Senate....

Historians have a favorite saying: "The past is like a foreign country." When we travel there, we meet people who think and act very differently. We return home with a new perspective, recognizing how much we take for granted, how much is far from inevitable. For a powerful illustration of this truth, look no further than Daniel K. Williams's masterful new book, Defenders of the Unborn: The Pro-Life Movement before Roe v. Wade (Oxford University Press). When readers turn the final page, they may feel like they have visited not just a different country, but a different universe.

Announced in October 2015, and released a month later, Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones have not set the world alight. The first 'out of the box' Windows 10 powered smartphones occupy a curious pivot point in Microsoft's plans. What do they tell us about the direction of Microsoft and how it will approach mobile in 2016? Between them they represent the end of a line of smartphones that stretches back to Nokia's 2011 decision to go with Windows Phone rather than Android, They also represent Microsoft's future attitudes to smartphones as a single element of a wide...

Christie has stated previously he has no problems with the Obama administration's initiative of banning Americans on terror watch lists from buying guns, despite that fact that these people have never been convicted of any crime related to such heinous charges. The reason: he already signed into law a similar piece of legislation back in 2013. Granted, this law is only in effect in New Jersey, but Christie showed he has no regrets over signing the bill. As you already know, being convicted of a crime is necessary in order for Americans' rights to be stripped, specifically (depending on the charge) the right...

Word is spreading - Donald Trump supporters are outraged over his treatment by a cabal of self- appointed representatives of conservatism like Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson, among others, who utilized the National Review magazine to declare their opposition to the current GOP frontrunner in what is an unprecedented show of force by media and political establishment figures to attempt to convince voters they are incapable of making their own decision regarding who to cast their vote for. It might very well prove to the final ingredient in a Trump tsunami once Republican primary voting is underway.
