Three American contractors are missing in Iraq, a senior security official in Baghdad says. "A company filed a report Sunday about three of its staff going missing. ... They are American contractors. We are looking into this report," the official told CNN. Separately, an Iraqi security official with knowledge of the case said that two of the contractors are dual Iraqi-American citizens and that the third is an American national. Gunmen grabbed the men at an apartment in Baghdad's southeastern Dora neighborhood late Friday afternoon, the source said.

Outspoken celebrity businessman Donald Trump likes to talk, and so far farmers appear to be listening. The nationwide frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination also topped the latest Farm Futures Magazine surveys among farmers in both the U.S. and Iowa. Farm Futures surveyed farmers from Dec. 7 to Jan. 4. That included more than 400 from Iowa, where 37% of those favoring a Republican said they would vote for Trump "if the election were held today." Trump‘s support among GOP farmers was even stronger at 39% from farmers outside Iowa, which holds its first-in-the-nation caucuses Feb. 1.

Gasbuddy.com says several stations in Houghton Lake, Michigan have lowered their prices under $1 per gallon, in what appears to be a price war. According to GasBuddy it appears these stations are currently the first stations in the country to see prices under $1 per gallon in years. As the situation unfolds, it's possible these stations re-raise prices back over $1/gallon. 78 cents per gallon was recorded at Beacon & Bridge Market while 95 cents per gallon was recorded at the Marathon in Houghton Lake. Prices were verified by GasBuddy after a review of photographs uploaded to GasBuddy's app.

Late-night talk show host Bill Maher on Friday said the idea that Syrian refugees can assimilate into Western countries and culture is a "fantasy." Citing polls that indicate many Muslims are in favor of Sharia law, the "Real Time" host said, "The idea that when Syrian refugees come to European countries or America that they are going to fit in is a fantasy," Mediaite reported.
