Ted Cruz has said that after working on George W. Bush's 2000 campaign, being passed over for a senior position with the new administration was "a crushing blow." Turns out, it was his own choice. Cruz was offered a job as White House associate counsel shortly after Al Gore conceded the race in December, but he rejected it, members of the Bush transition team told The Associated Press. Cruz thought he was in line for the more senior role of deputy White House counsel. The transition team members spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to speak publicly...

I’m at a total loss to understand why serious pro-lifers take him at his word. He’s been all over the place on Planned Parenthood, and when asked who he’d like to put on the Supreme Court, he named his pro-choice-extremist sister. [I]n the last month, Trump has contemplated a flat tax, the fair tax, maintaining the current progressive tax system, a carried-interest tax, a wealth tax, and doing nothing. His fans respond, “That shows he’s a pragmatist!” No. It shows that he has absolutely no ideological guardrails whatsoever. Ronald Reagan once said, “Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal...
  • 0.0% of Icelanders 25 years or younger believe God created the world, new poll reveals

Iceland seems to be on its way to becoming an even more secular nation, according to a new poll. Less than half of Icelanders claim they are religious and more than 40% of young Icelanders identify as atheist. Remarkably the poll failed to find young Icelanders who accept the creation story of the Bible. 93.9% of Icelanders younger than 25 believed the world was created in the big bang, 6.1% either had no opinion or thought it had come into existence through some other means and 0.0% believed it had been created by God. The poll, which was conducted by...

A focus group of South Carolinians overwhelmingly chose Senator Ted Cruz as the winner of the first presidential debate of 2016 on Thursday night. The group of 26 Republican voters was assembled by pollster Frank Luntz at the request of Fox News Channel. When Luntz asked them, 'Who won this evening?" They unanimously yelled, "Cruz." The highlight of the debate, and the moment that seemed to resonate most with these voters, was the exchange between Cruz and Republican front runner Donald Trump after the real estate mogul renewed his suggestion that Cruz may not be eligible to serve as President...

They have been living in a refugee home, and previously were fighting in Syria. **They are not reporting many details other than they seem to all be majority men... though that has not been verified as the state has not released much information. Since 2013 200 individuals have been charged with similar crimes, the punishment ranges from six months to ten years in prison.Germany is sadly lenient on most crime.

Abortion advocates in Oklahoma lost a round in court this week when a judge rejected their argument against a state law requiring abortion clinics to provide information to help protect young rape victims. Oklahoma County District Judge Thomas Prince rejected a request from Larry A. Burns and the Center for Reproductive Rights to rule the new law unconstitutional Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. However, the judge did uphold an Oklahoma Supreme Court order that stops the law from taking effect until the case is fully resolved, the AP reports. Burns, an abortion doctor in Norman, Oklahoma, and his pro-abortion...

WASHINGTON- On Ted Cruz’s Canadian birth certificate, his mother is listed as Eleanor Darragh Wilson, using the last name of her first husband, Alan Wilson. The Fort Worth native and long-time resident of London, Wilson is now an unwitting player in the drama that surrounds Cruz’s family. Wilson, who has never previously spoken about his past with the news media, told McClatchy in a telephone interview from London that he did not realize he was connected to the U.S. Texas senator, however indirect. He didn’t realize that his first wife, Eleanor, whose maiden name is Darragh, had such a well-known...

With a collect phone call to a Denver news station, Robert Lewis Dear Jr. again claimed full responsibility for raining terror on the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic. Getting a court to recognize his confession - and his avowed willingness to face the death penalty - won't be so easy. ... "I felt like they were going to get me and so I am going to pick where I want to make my last stand," he told Denver-based CBS4. "And I picked Planned Parenthood because it's murdering little babies."

Full disclosure: I have a daughter-in-law who has a Black father and three grandchildren who have a Black grandfather. I notice on the few commercials that show an interracial couple it is, without exception, a Black man and a White woman. It is never the reverse of that. I understand that it is much more common for a Black male to marry a White female than the reverse and I don't care who marries who, (as long a they are of two, separate genders), but why is this?

The moment came after Cruz called attention to Rubio's support for the failed 2013 immigration reform bill, which the Florida senator has been trying to distance himself from ever since. "Ted Cruz, you used to say you supported doubling the number of green cards, now you say that you're against it. You used to support a 500 percent increase in the number of guest workers. Now you say that you're against it," Rubio said during the GOP primary debate, which was held in South Carolina and hosted by the Fox Business Network. "You used to support legalizing people that are...

The New York Times outlines another loan for Senate Candidate Ted Cruz that was “Inadvertently Omitted” in 2012 by the campaign team of Heidi and Ted Cruz.   But, no-one seems to ask the key question “why”? There are two issues behind the Wall Street loans which Ted Cruz omitted from his campaign finance disclosures to the FEC, neither of which have anything to do with a candidate taking out an equity line of credit. ♦  The first key issue is a matter of political integrity.  In 2012 Senate candidate Ted Cruz was campaigning against big banks, bank bailouts specifically, and taxpayer funded bailouts...

Today, the mainstream media has been wildly obsessed over Cruz’s supposed denunciation of “New York values” highlighted in last night's Republican Debate. The NY Daily News cover even went to the extreme of saying: “Drop Dead, Ted. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) said that Republicans in Congress should look into a mirror when asking why the attack on an American consulate in Benghazi was as deadly as it was. She said that House Republicans who voted to cut security funding for overseas embassies are directly responsible for the lack of security personnel at that outpost. Boxer's claim is contradicted by testimony delivered before a Congressional Oversight Committee hearing last week. Boxer exonerated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday for any responsibility relating to the Benghazi attack, saying that it she testified before Congress in good faith...
