China's military ordered its forces on Thursday to be on guard against "liberalism" and ensure their loyalty to the ruling Communist Party, the latest battle in President Xi Jinping's war against corruption in the services. The People's Liberation Army, the world's largest armed forces, "must put the orders of the party into action, must maintain and uphold the correct political beliefs, must guard against and rectify political liberalism", the military said in a statement carried by the official Xinhua news agency.

I originally thought that head DUmmie Skinner sold out for thirty pieces of Hillary war chest silver. However, the posts of Captain Obvious are coming so fast and furious, I suspect he is working via piece rate. The more fawning Hillary threads posted the more plata in his pocket. As examples here is Skinner ADOPTING the dopey Hillary Hospital logo as his own. Then there is Skinner going full CHIPOTLE SOLIDARITY with Hillary. There are many more such threads but just for fun we shall today look at his plug for DUmmie "Hillvetica" text generator on this THREAD. Meanwhile...
  • The Apple Watch is Already Wiping the Floor with the Entire Smartwatch Market

The Apple Watch is on fire: KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimates that Apple's debut smartwatch has sold more than 2.3 million units since preorders opened, MacRumors reports. Apple hasn't released any sales data on Apple Watch sales, and it most likely won't until the company's quarterly earnings report. But this 2.3 million figure echoes what others have estimated — the research company Slice believes there were about 1 million US preorders on launch day, for example. Ming-Chi Kuo has a good track record on Apple: He was spot on with his predictions about the iPhone 5S, for example. If...

Liberals haven’t been able to ban all-purpose sporting rifles (or “assault rifles” as authoritarians call them), so they went after AR-15 ammo. But they encountered enough resistance that they had to back down for now. In the meantime, they are trying another tack: buying up the ammo with our money: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit offers to Request for Proposal (RFP) HSBP1015R0025 for .223 Remington (.223 Rem) Caliber Training Ammunition for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) locations nationwide, including those in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, the Northern Marianna Islands, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin...

A woman was heard screaming and a vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed, according to an LAPD spokesperson. One person was killed in the shooting, according to LAPD Sgt. Vincent Aguirre. • If You Live In Colorado,Iowa,or Ohio. Can You Already "Call Your State" A Win In 2016?

The GOP pretty much has to take at least six swing states to take out Hillary in 2016. The first path to victory is Iowa,Colorado,Florida,North Carolina,Ohio, and Missouri. That should bring us to 268(ish).But if we have a latino on the ticket, that should give us New Mexico. But for now, Can We Call Iowa and Colorado for Ted Cruz?

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz gave an honest answer to a gay-themed question Thursday. “Well, I will tell you, I haven’t faced that circumstance. I have not had a loved one go to a, have a gay wedding,” Cruz told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, who asked the senator if he would go to a gay wedding (Marco Rubio said yesterday that he would go to one). “You know, at the end of the day, what the media tries to twist the question of marriage into is they try to twist it into a battle of emotions and personalities,”...

The IRS filed the notice on April 6th and filed a lien on the Perrys, the report said. Harris-Perry said she was aware of her debt, but not the tax lien. She and her husband paid $21,721 of her debt on Wednesday; the remaining debt of $43,581 covers a tax period that ended on December 31st, 2013.

The breakthrough technology is a hybrid of semiconducting nanowires and bacteria that can take in carbon dioxide and use solar energy to convert it into pharmaceutical drugs, biodegradable plastics or liquid fuels. The U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Berkeley, developed the system. The hybrid system mimics natural photosynthesis, the process used by plants to take energy from sunlight and synthesize carbohydrates out of water and carbon dioxide. In the hybrid system, however, the CO2 and water are used to synthesis acetate, a basic building block for biosynthesis, the researchers explain.

Imagine if at the height of Apartheid madness in South Africa, the president of the United States had decided to partner with the racist white regime in Pretoria, lift sanctions, and put that country’s illegal nuclear program on a glide path toward obtaining a nuclear bomb. Would South Africa have free and open democratic elections? Would the African continent be a better, safer place today? And what would America look like at home? Would we be a more equal country with an African-American president, or would we be something meaner and uglier? Who knows. But it seems safe to say...

MADISON, Wis. — The Washington, D.C., attorney representing Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson in her civil rights case against her peers serves on the board of directors of a George Soros-backed judicial group. Robert S. Peck is founder and president of the Center for Constitutional Litigation, which bills itself as “among the most sought-after appellate litigators within the plaintiffs’ bar.” Abrahamson tapped the constitutional law expert to represent her in a civil rights case that aims to save her powerful chief justice position from a voter-backed, state constitutional amendment approved at the polls last week. The amendment allows...

Eight people were arrested at a protest that disrupted a University of Michigan Board of Regents meeting Thursday. Protesters — arguing that the school should admit more minorities — rushed the tables, causing a disturbance similar to one that took place last November. “Several people from the audience swarmed the tables,” said Campus Public Safety spokeswoman Diane Brown. “The police officers were able to control them in the middle of the room.” At least four tables went flying, along with multiple chairs, the Detroit Free Press reported; and several police officers tackled protesters, who fought back, shoving and kicking. Israeli Channel 10's reporter in France, Miri Michaeli, used her Facebook page Thursday to publish video documentation of an anti-Semitic assault she experienced in central Paris. The incident occurred just as she was about to report on camera about the Germanwings passenger jet disaster in the Alps three weeks ago. "I did not mean to upload this video,” she wrote. “It is not possible to understand what exactly happened there, in that short scene, and I do not look too good there, either. But after the report yesterday, which presented worrisome statistics about anti-Semitism in Europe, I received some questions...

At the end of March, two weeks before he declared his candidacy for President, Marco Rubio visited New York City’s Upper West Side to meet the moneyed class and hand out his new book American Dreams: Restoring Economic Opportunity for Everyone. In a gorgeous apartment overlooking the Park and the Museum of Natural History, Mr. Rubio delivered a spellbinding speech, skewering the president and articulating a cohesive worldview, especially in the arena of foreign policy. The smart and funny senator from Florida also took questions on all topics, impressing the room of well-heeled elites, plus journalists like Bret Stephens and...
