The public’s problems in trying to deal with the troubled Health Insurance Marketplace website aren’t the only problems plaguing the system. WNCN Investigates learned the state’s largest insurer has experienced a number of problems with the system. Blue Cross Blue Shield has more than 3.7 million customers in our state, but internal emails obtained by WNCN show that as of last Friday, only one person had enrolled for health insurance through the Exchange and that person hasn’t paid. Without payment, enrollment means nothing because the customer is still not officially in the system.

A father is accused of trying to hire someone to rape his 11-year-old daughter while he watched, it emerged today. Police arrested 32-year-old suspect Anthony Brinkman, from Missouri, at a Cracker Barrel in St Louis after an undercover operation lured him to the restaurant. They found him after he posted an online ad looking for someone to beat and rape his daughter as he watched. An undercover officer responded to the request and agreed to meet the suspect at a predetermined location after he sent him pictures of his daughter online.
