Flying under the radar this past week was a new government report that forecasts that the national debt will double over the next decade. The White House has projected a cumulative $9 trillion deficit between 2010 and 2019, while the Congressional Budget Office estimates a more optimistic $7.1 trillion, based upon the expiration of Bush tax cuts. A Northeast Philadelphia woman has been found guilty on charges of being part of a mother-daughter prostitution operation. Traci Young, 39, went on trial Monday and was found guilty. Prosecutors said Young and her 22-year-old daughter Tami Smith, a mother of three, allegedly advertised acts of prostitution on the popular online classifieds site Craigslist. Young and her daughter were arrested in the Wissinoming section on October 2, 2008. Police said an undercover officer arranged a meeting with the women, who were under police surveillance for three weeks, via the Web site Craigslist. HILLSBOROUGH (WTVD) -- A Hillsborough homeowner took matters into his own hands when would-be burglars entered his home. The home is located on Faucette Mill Road. The homeowner told police he heard someone forcing his door open so he got his gun and found three people standing in his living room. Police said he fired one shot and hit 19-year-old Christopher Williams in the chest. The homeowner said after the shooting, he saw four men running from his house.

Since we're new to the "military life", I have no idea what to do about a certain situation with one of our sons. Long story short, our Airman currently serving in Iraq married a fellow service woman (against our warnings and wishes of course) shortly before he deployed. Toronto - A cyclist was killed and the driver of a Saab convertible has been arrested after a serious crash on Bloor Street near Avenue Road on Monday night. Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) may unilaterally terminate derivative contracts with six foreign banks that provide over-the-counter commodity hedging services, a leading financial magazine said. China's SOE regulator, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), had told the financial institutions that SOEs reserved the right to default on contracts, Caijing magazine quoted an unnamed industry source as saying.
