Last month our numbers dropped off, and it's been an even deeper drop in June. Â It's frustrating for us, and I'm sure for you as well, but please don't be deterred in doing good work! Â We need to keep on nailing these jerks as long as they keep putting their terrorist propaganda up on YouTube. Â Â And we know that the Wacky Smackers did their part - it's YouTube that's not holding up their end of the bargain. Â This playlist represents users who have had three or more videos removed from YouTube for "terms of service violation," and yet...

When you next visit your bank, spot the American flag. If the Stars and Stripes is not displayed proudly in the lobby, call for the manager. Ask if he is an agent of the US Government, a “Qualified Intermediary”, with a duty to report on the financial activities of customers with American connections, to monitor the payment of US dividends, interest and other income, to withhold taxes and make appropriate payments to the US tax authorities. Frighten him further, if you dare: tell him that British banks that are not “qualified” according to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will...

The most dramatic moment came from Debby Smith, 53, of Appalachia, Va., who was near tears as she described for Obama her fragile health, including a recently discovered tumor for which she cannot get treatment. Obama waved her over and hugged her, saying, "I don't want you to feel like you're all alone." He promised to "find out what we can do within existing law" and called Smith the "perfect example" of the kind of person his health plan is intended to help. (Please Note this paragraph from the article) Afterward, Smith seemed less than satisfied with Obama's reassurances, telling...

Take a conservative stand in the blogosphere, cable television and the mainstream media and you can count on being attacked in the rudest, crudest, and foulest possible language, much of it unprintable in a daily newspaper, by zealots on the Left. I ignore such stuff, knowing that Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" encourages the use of abusive, garbage language as a tool to isolate and discredit people and institutions. Perhaps that makes it easier to send those the commissars deem utterly evil or hopelessly ignorant to re-education camps, or worse. But I never expected to hear such language from people...

News out of Great Britain indicates that Richard Dawkins, perhaps the world's most famous living atheist, is setting up a summer camp intended to help children and teenagers adopt atheism. As The Times [London] reports: "Give Richard Dawkins a child for a week's summer camp and he will try to give you an atheist for life." The camp, based upon an American precursor, is to be financially subsidized by Dawkins. According to media reports, all 24 places at the camp have been taken. As Lois Rogers of The Times reports: Budding atheists will be given lessons to arm themselves in...

"We're in the middle of a crash," Taleb said. "So if I'm going to forecast something, it is that it's going to get worse, not better." The government needs to deleverage debt and not try stimulus packages that will inflate assets, he said. "What makes me very pessimistic in not seeing any leadership or awareness on parts of government on what has to be done, which is deleverage $40-to-$70 trillion," Taleb said. "The monkey on our back is debt," he added.

Scholars often categorize texts as being either didactic or literary. The didactic text features exhortation, narrator insertions, moral summaries, stark contrasts between good and evil, and plot lines with obvious ethical significance. The literary text, in contrast, is characterized by reticence, metaphor, ambiguity, and indirection; by suggesting rather than telling. The literary text, when done well, is deemed worthy of sustained attention and repeated readings, while the didactic is generally disparaged and dismissed as either simplistic, moralistic, or both.At first glance, there is little doubt which category the Book of Mormon occupies. It is, undeniably, a remarkably didactic text, and...

Lyman Alpha Blob Credit: NASA / ESA, CXC, JPL-Caltech, STScI, NAOJ, J.E. Geach (Univ. Durham) et al. Illustration: NASA/CXC/M.Weiss Explanation: Dubbed a Lyman-alpha blob, an enormous cloud of hydrogen gas spans several hundred thousand light-years in this remarkable image (left), a composite of x-ray, optical, and infrared data from space and ground based observatories. The gigantic, amoeba-like structure is seen as it was when the universe was a mere 2 billion years old (about 12 billion years ago). Lyman-alpha blobs are so called because they strongly emit radiation due to the Lyman-alpha emission line of hydrogen gas. Normally, Lyman-alpha emission...

So much for the so called green shots. Rumors of the economic recovery were greatly exaggerated. The month of June was another terrible month for jobs. Employers cut 467,000 jobs in June, far more than expected, while the unemployment rate rose to 9.5 percent, the government said on Thursday in a report that showed a labor market continuing to struggle with a deep recession.

In Troy, New York, where a quarter of the children live below the poverty level and the average household makes less than $30,000 a year, the 29th richest man in the world is being given more than 300,000 taxpayer dollars to open a restaurant. They call it economic development. What it is is a sin. What it is is welfare for the wealthy, proof positive that raping the taxpayer is what the government does best. Meet George Soros. He owns Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Specifically, his company – Soros Strategic Partners – owns 70 percent of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. He also owns a...

The finances of several states around the nation are sinking deeper into chaos as lawmakers struggle to work out budget differences amid a recession that has wiped out tax revenue and set the stage for dramatic cuts in service and pay for government workers. The start of the new fiscal year arrived Wednesday with states from California to Connecticut still without spending plans in place. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a fiscal emergency and ordered state offices closed three days a month to save money as state officials plan to pay bills with IOUs starting Thursday.

WASHINGTON – Employers cut a larger-than-expected 467,000 jobs in June, driving the unemployment rate up to a 26-year high of 9.5 percent, suggesting that the economy's road to recovery will be bumpy. The Labor Department report, released Thursday, showed that even as the recession flashes signs of easing, companies likely will want to keep a lid on costs and be wary of hiring until they feel certain the economy is on a solid ground. June's payroll reductions were deeper than the 363,000 that economists expected. However, the rise in the unemployment rate from 9.4 percent in May wasn't as sharp...

An organization called the Freedom Federation has been formed in the fight for pro-family values. The announcement was made Tuesday at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. One of the Federation's spokesmen is Mat Staver, head of Liberty Counsel and dean of the law school at Liberty University. "It is a federation of organizations that are united around core values, which we have elucidated in what we call the 'Declaration of American Values' -- ten core values that reflect our Judeo-Christian traditions," he explains. He says forming the group was urgent because, in his opinion, family values are under...

Geoff Farrow objects to the K of C's support for California's Proposition 8 and for Catholic Moral Teaching Folks, this according to CNA: Fresno, Calif., Jul 2, 2009 / 06:43 am (CNA).- Citing the organization’s support for traditional marriage, a suspended Catholic priest who has turned to homosexual activism has called for Catholic pastors to block Knights of Columbus groups from their parishes and to borrow against the order’s insurance policies to fund homosexual groups. He said he advocated such action in part because the fraternal charitable organization helped support California’s Proposition 8, which restored legal marriage’s definition to being...

July 2, 1863 The second day of battle at Gettysburg General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia attacks General George G. Meade's Army of the Potomac at both Culp's Hill and Little Round Top, but fails to move the Yankees from their positions. On the north end of the line, or the Union's right flank, Confederates from General Richard Ewell's corps struggled up Culp's Hill, which was steep and heavily wooded, before being turned back by heavy Union fire. But the most significant action was on the south end of the Union line. General James Longstreet's corps launched an...

Border hospitals are legally selling American citizenship. Tucson Medical Center (TMC) in Arizona is in effect selling American citizenship for the babies of wealthy Mexicans. The TMC has been luring rich Mexican women to its maternity facilities to give birth. This sounds like normal business practice until you look closer. The TMC package advertises the latest equipment and accommodations, but the real draw to giving birth in Tucson is an American birth certificate. The hospital isn’t selling cleaner bed pans. It’s selling United States citizenship for a newborn little Mexican prince or princess. This is an old and common practice...

..."Before election, Wal-Mart Bad. After election, Wal-Mart Good!!! President Barack Hugo Obama has gone from joining with democrat unions to bash Wal-mart for not hiring union workers to loving Wal-mart for supporting his idea to mandate health insurance coverage by large employers. Wal-Mart used to be the bad guy and Obama’s campaign was critical of Hillary Clinton for her ties to the Wal-Mart Board. What he didn’t tell you then is that he and his wife made a lot of money from the Treehouse Foods Co., which does big-time sales with Wal-Mart. In at least two years he and Michelle...
