It’s legal but border hospitals are still betraying us by selling American citizenship

Border hospitals are legally selling American citizenship.

Tucson Medical Center (TMC) in Arizona is in effect selling American citizenship for the babies of wealthy Mexicans.

The TMC has been luring rich Mexican women to its maternity facilities to give birth. This sounds like normal business practice until you look closer. The TMC package advertises the latest equipment and accommodations, but the real draw to giving birth in Tucson is an American birth certificate.

The hospital isn’t selling cleaner bed pans. It’s selling United States citizenship for a newborn little Mexican prince or princess.

This is an old and common practice at border hospitals, but that doesn’t make it more acceptable. What makes TMC stand out is its aggressive marketing and where this campaign will lead.

Unfortunately this is all legal.

Think about that for a minute.

It’s totally legal for a private entity to sell the same citizenship millions of men and women have given their lives and limbs to protect, but it’s wrong.

Eventually these babies will “come home” to collect the benefits of American citizenship. They won’t have to sneak under a fence. The door will be held open for them and their dependents. They’ll claim every benefit American taxpayers can provide without having to work and contribute to America for a single day!

This evil of unintended consequences has to end. Each Mexican “anchor baby” can pull in hundreds of “new Americans” eager to help us share our dwindling wealth.

Bargain of a lifetime

A two day stay for Mom and infant for normal birth costs $2,300. Caesarean sections require four day stays, so they cost $4,600. Either way this is the bargain of a lifetime and American taxpayers are the losers.

These hospitals make America sick. TMC staff should be ashamed of this practice.

This is a loophole we should work on closing. There HAS to be a way to stop this.

The Congress could have stopped it decades ago. It hasn't. The 1896 (yes, 1896) Supreme Court ruling that, in effect, created birthright citizenship (anchor babies) specifically says that in absence of congressional direction, the babies are assumed to be citizens if born on U.S. soil.

The hospital in Tucson is only the tip of the ice berg. Take a look at Thomason (the county-funded) hospital in El Paso and a significant number of other hospitals in Texas, for instance, Parkland Memorial in Dallas, where something like 70 percent of the births are to illegals. Texas law requires that each county provide health care for indigents, paid for out of county property taxes. For years, Thomason and Parkland flatly refused to reveal the percentage of illegal mothers given birth in their hospitals. When they started to go broke and needed federal infusions of money (down payment for border hospitals was $1 billion) they began providing figures.

Bottom line, the Tucson hospital is selling American citizenship; many others are giving it away and being subsidized by taxpayers when they do so.

There are over 400,000 “anchor babies” born annually in the US.

Asians have done the same especially Koreans. Take the baby back to Korea and when it is time for college establish residency in your favorite state
