I am currently rendering down some chicken wings in my crock pot. They are to be reduced to loose meat for BBQ sandwich meat. During the cooking process, I realized that I smelled the chicken on more than one level. Part of me had little appeal for the chicken, since it was devoid of sauce or spices.
