A new national poll out today by OANN and Gravis Marketing has Trump up to 40%, his YUGEST lead ever over his Republican contenders. Heres how each candidate rated:
oann_trump_forty
While Carsons lead more than doubled, hes still a distant second place with the rest of the GOP field behind him. Not that Jeb lost a bit as both Cruz and Fiorina gained.
Heres the info on the poll:
Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 3,567 registered voters across the U.S. regarding the presidential election. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2%. The total may not equal exactly 100% due to rounding. The polls were conducted on August 21-22 using interactive voice response, IVR, technology and weighted separately for each population in the question presented.

Of my. The GOPe’s are now moving to changes rules in state primaries.
This will backfire as voters will take their anger out on other candidates
who will be on the same ballot, such as house, senate and local races.
There could be a LOT of “Cantoring” that happens in these primaries.

Cruz is a very fine man. But he is not an actor. He can’t change his personality and style of talking. He has a very serious method of talking. He will not be able to copy Trump style of dealing with media. Trump has been doing that for many years. Cruz’ best bet is to latch on to the Trump train, get elected VP. That will show the voters his depth of character and intelligence. After 8 years, he will be in a very strong position to run for president. Much stronger than now, anyways.

All candidates for federal office can draw salary AND benefits EQUAL to the office they are running for. The base salary for president is $400,000 a year, add in benefits, 'vacation time', 'sick time', etc.. So if you stay in the race (even if it is just on paper) for one year and one day, you're talking more than a million dollar payday from campaign funds. WTH? Who pays them?

Lesser evils. They always go with liberal Republicans.

That’s why they average them. Like they say, there’s a margin of error. I’ll bet if you take the margin of error on each of them and add the margin to the 30% and subtract the margin from the 40% that they come close to overlapping.
Generally, the poll with the better weighting and the larger random sample will be closer to the actual views of the population their sampling.

EVERY member of the House and every Senator up for re-election the next 3 cycles should be primaried. Good, bad, or in between, they should be primaried.
In fact, I’m in favor of primarying them EVERY time any member comes before the people for reelection.
We’ve got to get rid of the professional political class,

Many of them are there to split the delegate count in their state, so Bush doesnt lose as much in delegate count. They will drop out as their primaries pass. Then theyll release their delegates to Bush. I agree this is exactly why there are so many fringe candidates. Flooding the zone.
