A new national poll out today by OANN and Gravis Marketing has Trump up to 40%, his YUGEST lead ever over his Republican contenders. Here’s how each candidate rated:

While Carson’s lead more than doubled, he’s still a distant second place with the rest of the GOP field behind him. Not that Jeb lost a bit as both Cruz and Fiorina gained.
Here’s the info on the poll:
Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 3,567 registered voters across the U.S. regarding the presidential election. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2%. The total may not equal exactly 100% due to rounding. The polls were conducted on August 21-22 using interactive voice response, IVR, technology and weighted separately for each population in the question presented.

When I say I'm wary of Trump, I'm referring to him getting pissed at GOPe/Media/Donors and running as an Indy, paving the way for Hillary. I'm not sure if he has committed to the GOP. If and when he does, I'm all in on a Trump/Cruz ticket. I'm certainly not naive enough to demand ideological purity in a Presidential candidate; it doesn't exist, as much as I would like it.
Now I'll sit back and await the flames..

I do agree that the female and Hispanic demographics would make her a strong choice.
There are some opportunities she’s had but has declined. I don’t think she’s interested. She probably saw what happened to Sarah Palin as a VP candidate and doesn’t want any of that, plus she might want more time as governor. Is she just finishing up her first term or is she just starting her second? I haven’t stayed up.

I agree with your assessment of the country and to a lesser extent, agree with the fact that folks are waking up. I just hope it’s enough. As a side note, it is my personal belief that people starting waking up when Bruce Jenner became a woman right around the same time SCOTUS ruled gay marriage constitutional. The level of disgust was palpable..

Cruz’s Achilles heel is immigration. He is very good on all other issues. Megyn tried to get him to say deport the illegals , and he could not utter the word. In fairness to Cruz, none of the other 15 candidates (except Trump) have uttered the words “deport illegals”.
