A new national poll out today by OANN and Gravis Marketing has Trump up to 40%, his YUGEST lead ever over his Republican contenders. Here’s how each candidate rated:

While Carson’s lead more than doubled, he’s still a distant second place with the rest of the GOP field behind him. Not that Jeb lost a bit as both Cruz and Fiorina gained.
Here’s the info on the poll:
Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 3,567 registered voters across the U.S. regarding the presidential election. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2%. The total may not equal exactly 100% due to rounding. The polls were conducted on August 21-22 using interactive voice response, IVR, technology and weighted separately for each population in the question presented.

It is the wide open border/terminal destruction of the US that is primarily driving Trump’s support. Not all voters are MENSA, but 99% of them can see the country circling the drain before their very eyes.
Before Trump burst on the scene, politicians weren’t even allowed to acknowledge that illegals are raping and killing us in devastating numbers. Trump faced a ferocious backlash for breaking this sacred-cow rule, but he stood his ground. Voters took notice.
No other candidate has voiced the urgency, life-and-death, death-spiral reality of the foreign invasion. Cruz, you may recall, visited a border detention facility to help Beck distribute soccer balls and teddy bears.
People are simply desperate for someone to close the border and restore the country’s sovereignty. Trump has staked out that ground, and no other candidate has equalled his commitment to the issue.
I think those already holding a federal office cannot draw that salary... so House, Senate, President don’t get paid for running... and even those that all allowed to draw the salary of the office they seek, it comes from their campaign coffers... at least I believe that’s the case... not from the taxpayers.

I agree. And desperation most always leads to more problems. Witness how many people were ‘desperate’ the last two elections. They tried to empower a guy that profits from disposing of aborted children.
Then they DID empower a house and senate leader because of an alphabet letter by their name...who TOLD THEM TO THEIR FACE they intended to work WITH Obama.

The voters in the home districts of this pair were driven by anything BUT the kind of desperation that is fueling Trump’s support.
