Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real
http://michellemalkin.com ^ | April 14, 2009 12:01 AM | Michelle Malkin

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an unclassified DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis report titled:

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.

The “report” was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.

I spent the day chasing down DHS spokespeople, who have been tied up preparing for a very important homeland security event later today: The First Lady is coming to visit their Washington office. Priorities, you know.

Well, the press office got back to me and verified that the document is indeed for real.

They were very defensive — preemptively so — in asserting that it was not a politicized document and that DHS had done reports on “leftwing extremism” in the past. I have covered DHS for many years and am quite familiar with past assessments they and the FBI have done on animal rights terrorists and environmental terrorists. But those past reports have always been very specific in identifying the exact groups, causes, and targets of domestic terrorism, i.e., the ALF, ELF, and Stop Huntingdon wackos who have engaged in physical harassment, arson, vandalism, and worse against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs, and university researchers.

By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent “economic downturn” and the “general state of the economy” for stoking “rightwing extremism.” One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

In Obama land, there are no coincidences. It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

From the report, p.2:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

From the report. p. 3:

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.

(U) Exploiting Economic Downturn

(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen.

From the report, p. 5:

(U//FOUO) Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point,
and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.

And echoing the anti-military bigotry last seen in that disgusting Penn State University training video, there’s this on p. 7:

(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

There’s no hackneyed left-wing stereotype of conservatives left behind in this DHS intelligence and analysis assessment. I asked both DHS spokespeople to tell me who, specifically, the report was accusing of “rightwing extremist chatter” and which “antigovernment” groups are being monitored as “extremists.” They say they’ll get back to me.

In the meantime, be aware of this from the report, p. 8:

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.

Better make a few last-minute signs for the Tea Party. Obama’s DHS is watching:

Honk if you’re a radicalized rightwing extremist!

Guilty of rightwing extremist chatter

Anti-government, pro-freedom: Sue me

I saw this poster on a thread covering one of the Tea Parties and was just appalled. George Washington would never have used language like that. That is incredibly insulting to a man of honor, principle and integrity. From “The 5000 Year Leap”, George Washington praised the American Constitution as the “palladium of human rights,” but pointed out that it could survive only “so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.”

In his farewell address, George Washington said, “Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connexions with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” I agree with the other poster who said, this isn’t funny.

I am not one of Michelle Malkin's biggest fans. I have nothing against her, she just is not a person I turn to for info.

I will wait for a confirmation or 2 from other sources.

I am not accusing her of lying (maybe she was lied to; dunno) The article was too vague using nothing but the 1990’s as a basis. Perhaps someone in DHS wrote it as a pass around yuk-yuk. Maybe someone wrote it as a means of distraction. Maybe a disinformation campaign. Who knows these days.

I did that yesterday using other numbers in the document too and got nothing also. But if you note, there are no hot links in the document, just a couple email addresses, which if this were an internet document would hot link, so this may be in existence only in print. Plus this is in there:

Very difficult to break through the good ol boy network in Washington with ordinary folks with common sense on their side.

That's why they hate Sarah Palin so much. She can go right to the people with her message and generate a lot of enthusiasm and loyalty.

HEADS UP! For all who are attending Tea Parties tomorrow:

I strongly urge you to take along and take out your cellphones, PDA, media devices, and camcorders, and capture as much video of the proceedings as possible. Why? Because we know for a fact that Tea Parties will be infiltrated by left-wing groups, such as ACORN, who plan on "disrupting" the orderly, peaceful demonstrations expected to take place.

Now, we don't care if they choose to conduct peaceful, orderly counter-demonstrations, but it is no secret that commmunity organizers like ACORN thrive on engaging in "in-your-face" confrontations with anyone opposing their views. In fact, Obama has so directed his minion to do so.

It is my fervent hope that no altercations take place, or any other acts of public disobedience, that might cause the authorities to disband the rallies, or even arrest innocent bystanders.

Forget about the media covering the event - BUT -- if there is an "incident" that occurs, you can bet your bottom dollar that the rap will be pinned on "right-wing" activists, and the last thing we want to have happen is for any credence to be given to this DHS hackjob.

THEREFORE, it behooves each and every one of us who will be attending a Tea Party to collect as much live, firsthand video footage as your device can carry, of the entire event. By doing that, we can counter any distortions made by the media with multiple video evidence from as many POV as possible.

Even if all goes smoothly, we should post the video online for the rest of the country to see that many of us are not on board with this reckless rush to socialism.

“I warned FReepers at the time of the formation of DHS and the PATRIOT Act that they were but excuses to consolidate powers to be turned over to a leftist president at the end of the Bush Administration.”

I admit it. I supported the Patriot Act. You were right.

This report is beyond creepy. It’s almost at the 1984 level.
This is of a piece with the Clinton administration’s abuse of RICO statutes to go after anti-abortion groups.

WOSG’s Monitor Rule: Any law designed by well-meaning law-and-order conservatives to expand police powers will be perverted by the liberals when in power to suppress the liberties of patriotic law-abiding conservatives.

Look at the history of what has happened on April 19th.

And what has been done to "honor" April 20, 1889 -- a birthdate that will live in infamy.

What Barry Obama won’t admit is the similarity of philosophy and morality the right-wing extremists have with the Founders of our Nation. So I guess Barry’s war against his enemies is also against: Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln...

Will Tim Robbins again declare that a “chill wind blows” to stifle dissent and debate in this country?

Will it still be legal to wear a Dissent Is Patriotic t-shirt so long as the President pictured on the shirt is GW Bush (with devil horns or a Hitler mustache)?

We predicted they would go here, replaying the Vast Right-Wing extremist conspiracy card, back when they started the smear campaign against Rush Limbaugh right after the Inauguration. They are replaying this from the 1990s Clinton-Carville-Begala campaign to tag Rush Limbaugh for the Oklahoma City bombing. Watch for false flag incidents from agents provacateurs to whoop up hysteria and sympathy for Obama.

Obama is in trouble with the economy, so they need new bogeymen for their fearmongering and scare tactics. Next stop - outposts of skinheads and the Klan on TV. Gee, did they just disappear after 1995???!!! Where have they been? Now CNN and MSNBC will be rolling the video footage of bald goateed hypoglycemic hillbilly psychos with Confederate flags, claiming this is an imminent threat of some kind.

They just need Janet Reno to rev up the tanks and invade the hinterlands of Idaho and Texas again... Where will they stage their Stalingrad this time?

“I said the same about ‘no child left behind’ and the ‘faith based initiatives,’ “

Another bullseye. Obama put a screeching anti-Catholic gay rights extremist on his ‘faith outreach committee’. Gold turns to dross and ‘faith’ turns into a clown show of kumbaya liberalism and socialist re-engineering masked as christian ethics a la wolf-in-sheeps-clothing. All part of the liberal corruption of any and all institutions. And of course even before becoming President, Obama got earmarks for Rev Wright and Rev Phleger ... just ‘wonderful’ men of the cloth to get tax-payer money, eh? The ‘walking around money’ for the black reverends used to be out-of-pocket expenses for the Democrats, now they get the taxpayers to foot their political-payola bill.

WOSG’s Govt Spending Rule: The more discretion given in the spending program, and the higher the spending level, the greater the level of corruption in how it is spent. Govt spending corrupts. Liberal Democrat Govt spending corrupts absolutely.

that quote was from a democrat website planning a gathering about the banks being too large.

But I have a different take on last year anyway. I beleive it was planned with a significant draw down within hours. Around 550 billion if I remember correctly. Paulson came into Bush and said they tried to plug the losses and were unable. They needed a quick fix immediately. Before the bailout they put billions in. From there you know the rest. Bailout big time was warranted and I think Paulson was part of the scheme.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ca2_1234032281

On Thursday (Sept 18), at 11am the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the U.S., to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in the matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help and pumped a $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn’t be further panic out there.

If they had not done that, their estimation is that by 2pm that afternoon, $5.5 trillion would have been drawn out of the money market system of the U.S., would have collapsed the entire economy of the U.S., and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed. It would have been the end of our economic system and our political system as we know it.

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/politics/bulletin/bulletin_080918.htm

After the 18th, the bailout had not been passed yet. Remember McCain stopping his campaign September 24th, and going to discuss what needed to be done and Obama’s campaign saying he was a idiot basically. Then Obama sat on his phone urging everyone to pass the bailout.

Obama’s cool at the time was because he knew what had happened would lead the way for him to win. A fragile market generated by communists, then several wealthy elite of that group, go in and take out multi billions within hours. The strategists, NWO power elite Soros whose life goal was to bring down fascist America along with certain other possibles, Buffet, Soros, Murdoch, Rockefellers and Rothschilds.

Now we come to find out the one who made off with the majority of the bailout was Buffet. Like 20 of his companies were held up with our money. One of the richest men in the world with stock shares around $91,000. Then after we gave money to GE, Buffet bought into that. He knew once government bailed them out they would not be allowed to lose.

One of the richest men in the world is Prince Alaweed, we bailed out his company CitiGroup. These people can save their own companies. If you invest and believe in a company you could surely find some oil well money to put into your company you have so much power over.

Now come to find out another richest man in the world, Bill Gates. We will fund with stimulus dollars a bridge for his two colleges. It goes to one college and then to another college. To the tune of 36 million. Originally 25 million but hey when the money is free why not go big.

This was planned. And it was planned well to put our money into the pockets of the wealthy elite and to get obama in the front because of the crisis. Taking taxpayer dollars and channeling to the wealthy has been done for decades. We sit like saps as they become more powerful.

As far as banks being too big, I believe that goes back to the power elite and as far back as the ‘30s. Rothschilds

The villification and marginalizing of The Founders has been a principal objective of the American left for several decades. The agenda of BO and his coven pretty much bring that to light (for those able to see).
