The hedgehog was not very cuddly, but it liked my husband (and his leather gloves!) and my daughter. I think rodents (and similar critters) sense that I real only like cats!

I had never heard of a hot toddy until my son was about 18 months old, and I got the grandmother of all colds. I was SOOO sick!

My husband had no patience with me, and wasn't about to watch our son as that wasn't "manly" and he had an image to maintain aboard ship.

So he fixed me a hot toddy. I went to bed that night, slept through, no cough, no NUTHIN'! In the morning, I picked up the glass that had contained the toddy, which had about an inch of cloudy brown liquid in the bottom. I started to smell it, but before I even got it under my nose, the odor of the bourbon made me recoil!

To this day, I cannot abide the stuff! I make my toddies out of any alcohol that does not have color...but there is no better cure!

I like all animals, but some I like more than others. Because of CFIDS, it is not a good idea for me to have a dog, or any other pet that requires a lot of care, as some days, I can't get out of bed. I live alone and get tired of talking to myself, so I got Hobbes. She has no clue that she is a cat!

Well, I "like" other animals (except most dogs) but I don't want them for pets! When Agnes passes on, we'll be left with the fish, Mr. Lincoln, and Anoreth's gerbils. Maybe we'll get another cat after some of the kids leave home!

I think those are beautiful Afghans! I am glad that they have an opportunity to learn what freedom is.

The world hates us, can't say anything good about America or Americans, but moan and complain when we are not the FIRST with the MOST when disaster strikes.

i saw an Afghan once that had been clipped short except for the head / top of the neck and the tail and it looked kinda like a small horse with it's hair combed to one side like a mane with the tail looking like a horse tail... it was a punk couple that owned it so

Yah...I know the feeling. When my kids were way younger, we always had a dog and a cat. Cats are NEVER allowed outside, and dogs only go out on a leash, a chain, or a fenced yard.

I have seen too many dead pets on the roadsides...I figure if a person wants an animal, they have certain responsibilities: Neuter them, keep them indoors or in the yard, socialize them so they are not agressive, feed and water them, (never people food) and ALWAYS love them!
