The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth concerns an article appearing in morning edition of the Boston Globe:
"Viet Vet Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in todays edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that he ad be played.
Additional documentation will follow.
The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranishs own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerrys military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam.
END
Their extraordinary connections to the kerry campaign makes their reporting look and smell like goebbel's reincarnated, unmasked and releasing putrid propaganda.
I read Peggy Noonan's essay at opinionjournal.com yesterday in which she explained she feels called to work for the Bush campaign, and so obviously she must take a leave of absence from the Wall Street Journal. I guess that logic is too complicated for the rats.
Isn't that a disgusting example of a conflict of interest. I already e mailed the Boston Globe to let them know what I thought.
They suffered the hatred and ostricization of being considered baby killers, and later the patronizing belief they're all drunken, drug addicted, homelss psychotics living in caves in the woods and just itching to play chicken with oncoming trains.
Many vets had problems getting jobs for years, because employers didn't want to hire murderers.
Vets just stopped talking about their service, except with those they absolutely trusted. They couldn't even sit in a bar during the Gulf war and loosen up enough to reminisce a little...without sending and receiving special signs that they were among friends. It's a phenomenon you NEVER saw with veterans of other wars. Only in the '80's did Viet Nam vets suddenly become a part of pop culture and "acceptable".
Make that '90's...typing too fast.
Not only running out of ammo, but I'd say this round fired out of their Crainish launcher misfired and hit Kerry in the arse again!

That argument might fly in regards to politics (although various papers have taken sides from the inception of our nation). But it is absurd to say that an American paper shouldn't take the side of America against its enemies especially in war.
Good idea -- in a few months, Breck Boy will be hustling for clients!
What is stopping this story from seeping into the consciousness of the "swing" voter?
Are we even sure that his 13 crew members really support him? I thought 4 declined to be involved, 1 is against him (Gardner), 2 are dead.
How many does that leave to support him? I thought the boats only had 13 members on them each.
It was Ronald Reagan who repaired our self esteem.
If it were not for him, I would be dead of an OD or alcoholism. I would never have been able to raise a familily or be productive.
There are thousands just like me.
Some on this forum and most in todays society do not understand how personal this is with vets of my generation.
Republican, democrat or independent, we all share a loathing for John Kerry. We will continue to do so, even after he is long gone, and we will carry this to our graves.
Looks like the Boston Globe forgot not to lie, again.
Swifts are a crew boat with a compliment of six (6) men.
Update on SwiftVet story on FOX now coming up.

The book version of the "Kerry Lied" hit Ad, "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry," has already reached number one on the bestseller list on Amazon.com, based on advance orders.
The media wants to revert to its pro-communists stance? FINE. They should be made aware these guys have friends this time that are going to stand beside them in this fight.
We are not only fighting jihadists but on the Home Front our homegrown "Reds" in the Democratic Party, the Media, and Hollywood.
Good move -- wonder what the FEC would do with this....
No, you cannot fit 250 Naval officers on a single SWIFT boat.
Didn't some of the Swift Boat Vets in the anti-Kerry ad stand with Kerry in the famous Vietnam photo, the one that Kerry used to imply he had a lot of support of men he served with?
I seem to remember the ad used that seemingly pro-Kerry photo - flashing back to it and focusing on an vet, then presenting the man's anti-Kerry statement today. Then repeat with another vet...
Kerry may have already claimed that he "served with" some of the men now witnessing against him.
