Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

What is also sad, GWB, I suspect that if the parents of Terri Schindler or Lacy Peterson had seriously suspected what kinds of sons-in-law these young men would be, the daughters would NOT have listened in the least!

There is an eye-opening book, on this topic, called "Saving Beauty From the Beast." It is written by two women (Vicki Crompton and Ellen Zelda Kessner) whose daughters were murdered.

I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to understand the steps an abusive boyfriend or husband takes to convince his victim that she should stay with him after he begins to treat her badly. It also talks about early signs in their daughter's relationship that might tell parents they should take steps to protect her.

It's the best practical book I have come across on this topic.

If you're referring to Glenn Beck, his point was that he was swamped with emails and phone calls when his listeners thought he was going to kill a dog but since Terri's not a cute little puppy, people aren't outraged and he's been talking about her for three years. He had a rally in Tampa Bay and 100 people showed up last year.

To understand the Michael Schiavos of the world, M. Scott Peck's book, People Of The Lie can be instructional. There are people in the world who live off of sucking the life out of others, not like in vampires but in overwhelming the persona of others, to dominate and dictate to them, to take away their will and have them subserviant, dependent in a malignant way. Peck offers several examples, leaving one to draw composite conclusions.

I am not in FL; I hope I am wrong about the culture of death being embraced by the FL community, even among senior citizens prone to such abuse. Terri has 19 days until starvation begins, and FL seems contented to let this happen. That's what I was saying.

Horrors like that make a lasting impression on neighbors.The daughter of one of my husband's co-workers was killed by her husband.It was very hard to accept it really happened, especially because you'd think that men should be protecting their wives and girlfriends, not killing them.

Felos is a right to die advocate. He has denied that to reporters from CNS News, but if you go to his web site (not at mealtime, mind you)
http://meditationforlawyers.com and click personal appearances, you'll see that his public speaking is almost exclusively on the right to die.

Felos has publicly said he intends to write a book after Terri's case is behind him. That sound like he might have a deal with Michael Schiavo to you? Something about client confidentiality comes to mind.

Felos has, in court, likened Terri to a house plant. He has, in court, dismissed the fact that Schiavo lives in open adultery (a crime in Florida) by saying "I can't believe someone actually takes that law seriously." Pardon me, Mr. Felos, but you're a lawyer and you BETTER take it seriously. When the Florida Legislators need critiquing, I'll be sure to have them phone you.

Felos has publicly said that the Schindler family are trying to introduce a spirit of violence and fanatical behavior and that they are the types who would circulate "wanted posters of abortion doctors". Felos has called supporters of Terri's human rights "right wing religious fanatics".

Felos writes in his book "Litigation as Spiritual Practice" that he nearly crashed a plane simply by visualizing it. He also claimed that his abdomen opened and light poured from his body and he "soul spoke" to Ms. Browning - a woman he was trying to "win the right to die" for.

What kind of clients does he have? Misinformed ones would be my personal opinion.
