One thought I did have was he could be referring to the "farmer/helicopter" incident because it is the only success they've accomplished during the entire war, LOL.

But it would still be easy to just hold up a newspaper if he wanted the truth to be known as to exactly what date the tape was made or when the broadcast originated.

First he is dead, then alive but the tapes are fake. So the only logic is he fled Baghdad or is still there hiding like a coward with civilians or in some bunker tunnell under the Tigris-AND he made the tape cause he got SO MAD that our government said the tapes were fake.THEREFORE we track him and smell him out and gain intel.

He could mention alot of little "successes" that are verifiable other than the "farmer incident"... which has only been "vetted" by Iraqi TV.

The lighting in that video is funky. The shadow over his body is so dark, its hard to see Saddam. My money is on the fact its a double or a prior videotape. He's dead or pretending he's MR. POTATOHEAD.

Saddam refers to farmer who shot down helicopter

A story which originated in Iraqi propaganda in the first place. The propaganda could have easily been framed to fit the tape.

If Saddam mentiones a current event that was 1)not easily predictable before the decapitation strike and 2)outside Iraqi power to cause or fabricate, that will be evidence that he's alive. The "farmer shoots down helicopter" yarn fails the latter test.
