I think he’s throwing in the towel. After his basketball “rings” comment in Indiana and getting a five state thrashing last night I think he’s come to the realization this race is over.
Cruzaders can put a battalion in the field with a tweet.
Trumpateers can barley muster out a platoon.
Maine: Cruz 19 delegates, Trump 1 delegate. (We let one get away...shameful.) In spite of a popular conservative governor and a short-wave radio host urging just the opposite in a rally the day before.
Give peace a chance. (Okay I almost threw up in my mouth as the words enter my fingertips).

My guess....he throws his support to Trump for a spot on the ticket. Trumps prize? Not having to spend too much money on ground operations because the Cruzaders are already set up in all 50 states. Donald isn't.

Same here at our house. During the debates and his rallies we watched him, but the wife started showing me things about him; how he would lie about other candidates positions, etc. She made me realize that every time he lied at a rally, he would put on that creepy smile of his while the crowd applauded. She also compared him to a preacher that swindled her family when she young. She has been spot on about him from the start.
Maybe he should take up eating like a pig to get some attention. Worked for Kasich for about 24 hours.

If Cruz is announcing a VP choice and it is Fiorina, she has shown that she has absolutely no more political aspirations because this would finish any serious thoughts for her in the future...To weld yourself to a rapidly sinking ship is utter stupidity if you have ANY thoughts of politics in the future...
The only one I see would be Kasich because of the aspect of “teaming up” against Trump...
Other than that, the only other person I can think of that would even consider it would be Beck and he’d be salivating all over himself if this came about...

At this point there are two possibles to my mind. One is suspension of his campaign - the other some sort of parlor trick (a VP maybe?).
I’ll take the high road and just say I’ll allow him the dignity of bowing out and saying nothing before I go condemning him for something else not yet confirmed.
Humiliation in defeat isn’t an inducement to reconciliation.

Gladly voted for Cruz. But now it’s time for him to cash out and back Trump. It’s the only way to beat the Clinton machine this fall. A united Republican party will destroy her … a divided party will help her succeed.

The problem is that you can’t announce a VP pick according to the rules that Cruz loves so much.
Frankly, I am surprised anyone would even want to hitch their political wagon to Cruz at this point.
