When making a decision about who to choose as his running mate, Donald Trump was concerned with potential ticket mate Mike Pence. Why? Because he thought then Governor Pence was “embarrassingly poor.” Before Trump chose Pence, he sized him up over a game of golf. The Atlantic reported: “Coming into the game, Trump had formed an opinion of the Indiana governor as prudish, stiff, and embarrassingly poor, according to one longtime associate." Pence knew the (Trump politics) game and had some help from one of his longtime advisers, Kellyanne Conway. Conway suggested Pence talk to Trump about “stuff outside of...

A candidate for the Democratic National Committee blames Hillary Clinton's loss in the 2016 election on her decision to tap Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia as her running mate. [Snip] "We lost simply ... because Hillary did not pick the right running partner," Mr. Tolliver said in response to a question.

Vice president-elect Mike Pence will be sworn into office Jan. 20 by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Reuters reported Thursday. Thomas, a conservative legal icon, was included in the official program for Trump’s inauguration as shared online by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Trump will be sworn in by the Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. Traditionally, the chief justice swears in the president, and an incoming vice president picks someone else to administer his oath of office. Thomas, 68, is the second black justice to serve on the Supreme Court and is one of its most...

The losers are angry... If you were arranging publications based on their political content, any given issue of GQ Magazine would sit comfortably to the left of Marx & Engels. GQ is to sane political discourse what a pack of rabid pit bulls is to a steak. After all, this is the rag that keeps Keith Olbermann locked in a basement closet, where a food pellet drops each time he records one of his insane rants for YouTube. That means they have a nasty habit of letting the mask slip and sharing their insane feelings. In a year where the...

Donald J. Trump has won the electoral college vote! Texas took their good old time, thanks to Austin, and cast the final state EV for Trump. He won 306 electoral votes November 8th. Now they have been officially counted to confirm Donald Trump as our 45th president. Our republican electors have been faithful and respected our millions of votes and thirty states that chose Trump / Pence. These loyal electors honestly represented the voters that chose Trump/Pence to lead our great nation. They did not bend under enormous pressure to betray us and become 'faithless' electors. Thank God for faithful...

Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton's former running mate, said Thursday that he and Clinton would soon appear for a series of "thank you events" in the "next couple of weeks" to show their appreciation for supporters. . . . Kaine argued the Clinton campaign was obligated to participate in a controversial multistate recount effort spearheaded by Green Party nominee Jill Stein. . . . "When Jill Stein, one of the third party candidates, decided to do it, if there's going to be a recount, we have to be at the table to make sure that it's done right," Kaine said....

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine says he'll seek re-election in 2018 but is ruling out a presidential bid in 2020. The former Democratic vice presidential nominee said in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday that his decision is final.

The Indiana governor and former congressman took a leap of faith when he accepted Mr. Trump’s invitation to be his running mate. Now conservatives say that as the experienced Capitol Hill hand serving a president who has never held elected office before, Mr. Pence is positioned to be one of the most influential vice presidents in history. . . . “I think he will be there as a steady, faithful partner to Donald Trump, bring his experience from being a House member and as a governor into the room and share with him, ‘Here is how we really make work...

I really think Mike Pence will be the one running the country. He's experienced and will just keep Trump informed. Details(nuts and bolts) will not be the Trump's department. I see Pence holding the reins as the stagecoach moves along in the right direction. Trump will be riding shotgun like a bouncer in a night club. Trump needs the limelight so he can travel and be the Pied Piper of capitalism. If successful Pence will move seamless into the Oval Office after 8 years-maybe 6!

Potentially the Worst VP in American History A look at Tim Kaine's track record and agendas. During his years as a student at Harvard Law School in the early 1980s, Tim Kaine took a year off from his legal studies in order to work with Jesuit missionaries in Honduras. During the nine months he spent there, Kaine developed a keen interest in the teachings of local priests who were adherents of liberation theology, which is essentially Marxism dressed up as Christianity. Kaine himself embraced liberation theology and later claimed that it had “changed” him and “deepened” him. After completing his legal education, Kaine joined...

The 2016 Presidential election is 11 days away, and the FBI just announced that they are reopening their investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s private email system. With the Democratic candidate once again the subject of a criminal investigation, it raises many questions as to what happens if she is indicted or relinquishes her candidacy before the election, or even after. The law is hazy in some of these situations, so let’s tackle them one by one. 1. If Clinton is indicted before the election The FBI merely said that they are reopening their investigation to examine new emails that came to...

Advertisement In an email sent on March 17th 2016, Podesta sent over a “first cut of people to consider for VP.” Podesta says the list is organized “in rough food groups.” The list was sent to hdr29@hrcoffice.com, which appears to be her latest email address. It cannot be overstated just how far the preferred corporate media narrative is disconnected from reality. The real battle is for your mind. The institutional media goal is to grind down Trump/Pence supporter enthusiasm (which is massive), and artificially inflate the narrative of enthusiasm for Clinton/Kaine (which does not exist). Within the reality we find the disconnect outlining the "rigged system". Tim Kaine goes to Miami-Dade, a regional geography with millions of registered Democrat voters, to deliver a rally speech and less than 50 people show up: [Snip] Remember, this is Miami Dade, Florida, "friendly territory". The only Florida county...

“Invariably, they’ll say, this time we got him. This time we found that there’s another tweet come out or something,” Pence told the crowd. “This time we got another thing, another issue that’s come forward.” He then let it be known that he does not see the issue slowing Trump’s momentum. “Then they turn on the next television the next morning, and Donald Trump is still standing stronger than ever before and fighting for the American people,” Pence continued. “And he is going to fight all the way to the White House.”

The good news is Tim Kaine finally answered an age-old, world-class mystery - “How does anyone make Hillary likeable?” The answer? “Just watch Tim Kaine for a few minutes.”After watching the Vice Presidential debate on Tuesday night, Kaine puts a new spin on “Make America GRATE again.” The man’s personality clearly grates on the nerves of every living human being. Kaine defines “grateness.”I’ve watched political debates my entire life. I’ve been in quite a few myself- including a presidential debate in 2008…and a vice presidential debate after I won the Libertarian vice presidential nomination. I’ve never seen a more unlikeable,...

Let’s get the easy, obvious point out of the way first: Mike Pence won that debate, and won it handily. Does it matter? Well, I’ll get to how it might in a moment. But let’s first talk about why and how Pence won. Pence is of course a successful politician, but he’s never really been seen as – how to put this – well, he’s never been seen as one of the sharpest minds the GOP has in its roster. He’s not a guy you associate with intellectual depth, like Paul Ryan, or having new ideas on where to take...

Last night was the only vice presidential debate of the 2016 cycle. The conventional wisdom was that it would be boring and unimportant, but it turned out to be exciting and far more substantive than the presidential debate Lester Holt moderated last week. 1. Pence Crushed It Before the debate began, the Republican National Committee published a piece about how Pence had won the debate. Much was made of this mistake, but the RNC must have a psychic on staff, because Pence absolutely crushed it. He had control of the debate from the opening question to the final round. He...
