When candidate Donald Trump announced his candidacy to run for President last year we knew immediately there would be a seismic shift in the political landscape. Those who have followed politics in the last 8+ years suspected the 2016 race would inevitably boil down to Globalists -vs- U.S. Nationalists.

I’m confused about these lists. Can you or someone direct me to them so I could educate myself? I went to Levin’s website but didn’t find this list.
Part of the problem was that some of the blacklisted writers were some of the best in the business. Dalton Trumbo was an example The left has always had a lock on the culture. The right, for whatever reason, cannot compete, or more likely, refuses to compete.
Face it, frontrunners don’t debate - they don’t have to. And also understand that the best debaters (I, personally, think Cruz is a overly-practised, insincere debater) don’t necessarily win elections. Newt Gingrich, anyone?
Which conservatives make enemy’s lists of other conservatives to go after?
Which conservatives promise to never forget those enemies and to make them “pay” forever?
Which conservatives hold secret meetings to strategize how best to shut down the most popular candidate in recent history?
Which conservatives publicly act like infected, deranged jackasses for a year because their candidates weren’t selected?
Etc. etc.
It’s silly to stick with such a narrow view of true conservatism, as defined by only you. You’ll go crazy if you don’t find a way to understand that you’re boxing yourself in with those narrow views.
I’ve wondered if Levin was the poison that infected Limbaugh for a while, since we know at one time he acted as an adviser - and in my opinion, Rush really struggled for several years and seemed to suffer from a more angry, disconnected, anti-American, political-radical attitude that we don’t see with him now. Much of what I read here on FR during that time about Levin, seemed reflected in the things Rush talked about on his program. Angry, bitter, toxic.
Levin really is a poison pill and he taints everyone and everything he touches. I can’t help but think anyone who personally knows him, must cringe every time his mouth opens and his brains fall out again.
Newt was not a great debater. Trump claimed several times that he was anxious to face Ted mano a mano. But surprise! It turns out to be another of Trump’s whoppers. Trump won’t debate him b/c he would be shamed before a national audience. Trump ain’t stupid.
Newt was a fantastic debater. Only in a Cruz-confused mind would he be considered ‘not great.’ Cruz uses the worst insincere, condescending manner when speaking either to the press or debating. When he speaks to a crowd, his voice goes up into a stratospheric nasal region that can only be heard by parrots.
Trump doesn’t have to debate. Deal with it.
I thought that Mitt, whom I viscerally disliked at the time, handed Newt his lunch.
The Presidency is no place for cowards such as Trump. It would be an opportunity for him to show his mettle, which would crumble under the prosecution of Ted. And Trump knows it.
No. Mark is not calling for a blacklist on anyone. Heis editor of Conservative Review and a piece was published there by Amanda Carpenter. SHE is the one calling for blacklist. She lists names of prominent Trump supporters.
Cruz is a better debater than Trump. Trump is a better presidential candidate than Cruz. Deal with it. And it’s a joke that Romney outwitted Newt. He outspent him on negative ads and ruined his candidacy.
Levin really is a poison pill and he taints everyone and everything he touches... That's what I believe. There's a lot of interplay between Hannity, Rush, and Levin. My impression is they are a team that admire -- or at least mention -- each other on their programs. Rush doesn't really recognize other live conservative voices are out there like Michael Savage or Alex Jones. I did a search and found one mention of Free Republic in the last several years. So they have this little monopoly going on and Levin is the hot head who cracks the whip. |

Newt’s madness about Martian settlements sank him.
I hadn't planned on going into all of it, as it was extremely ugly; especially since he KNEW me well, by that time. That was it for be and I haven't listened to him since nor bought any of his books.
Levin lies, blusters, threatens physical harm, and the fools who are still part of his drooling sycophantic little adoring group, are dumber than a box of rocks.
Some very good right/conservative writers simply gave up because they could not get published. Their publishers were cowed by the Communists and some publishing firms had a very significant Communist Party presence in them.
If the late Major Nick Rowe (VN POW) were alive today, he would tell you, as he did a group of us, about the betrayal by his publisher, I believe it was Little Brown, of their promise to promote his book “Five Years to Freedom”.
This has happened many times over, and this was in the past 40 years along, not the early 30’s and 40’s.
Thanks to publishing firms such as Viguerie/Arlington House, etc., conservatives can get published today and have both great financial and print success.
I can attest to this because I worked on the national best-seller “Unfit for Command” about John Kerry. It was published by conservative publishing giant Regnery Publishing Inc., An Eagle Publishing Co, Wash. D.C. and the print run was over 800,000.
But the 2000’s are not the decades of the 20th century when liberals and communists dominated the publishing industry, and had their own, often unspoken, “blacklists” against conservative writers.
I was there. I saw it first hand.
Yet Cruz took his time responding to the horrible terror attacks in Brussels when Trump spoke out ASAP as soon as the news came out. Shows Cruz needs to brush up on national security issues.
I heard you. So it’s a race to make the first comment? Cruz isn’t glued to Twitter all day long. Had Cruz responded first, you wouldn’t be talking about it. And just like now, neither would I. When your candidate, such as Cruz, has substance, your don’t need to grasp at straws to make an irrelevant point.
>>Levin is being a jerk for some unknown reason to tons of people in his own profession who have supported him over the years.<<
