Two pictures of Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn (N.C.) shared with Politico show the embattled congressman at what appears to be a party in women’s lingerie. The political news outlet reported that it obtained the photos from a person who was previously close to Cawthorn, and his campaign. Another person who was formerly close with Cawthorn confirmed the pictures. Cawthorn is controversial figure in the Republican Party. He previously accused congressional colleagues of inviting him to orgies. Cawthorn told “Warrior Poet Society” podcast host John Lovell that lawmakers have invited him to orgies and done cocaine in front of him. He...

What exactly has happened to the formerly must-read Drudge Report? It may seem like yesterday to old Washington hands, but it was actually more than a quarter-century ago that a manager of a gift shop in a television network building in greater Hollywood, a 20-something with a thirst for movie star gossip, signaled the end of the establishment media’s chokehold on the American public. He started an amateurishly formatted website featuring links to important but under-the-radar online articles, to go along with his own mysteriously obtained scoops. It was, let us never forget, Matt Drudge who broke the Monica Lewinsky...

The Drudge Report made its name by making life hell for Democrats in the White House. But over the past several months, the website, named after its infamous and enigmatic founder MATT DRUDGE, has continued the surprising trend that emerged during the 2020 presidential campaign: Taking a relatively muted editorial stance on JOE BIDEN. Readers who visited Drudge on the morning of Dec. 10, found a patriotic graphic of Biden splashed against an American flag leading the site. Headlines on that day touted the “lowest jobless claims in 50 years,” “Biden delivering fastest recovery in history?” and quotes from CNBC...

About a decade ago I’d heard all sorts of rumors about Matt Drudge, many from friends who were in positions to know or at least suspect, and none of them were good. I remember thinking if those rumors were true, and they were proven and exposed, that would do some serious damage to conservatism. Thankfully, it didn’t come to that. Drudge wasn’t destroyed from without, it was destroyed from within, by Matt himself. Thankfully, it happened long after he and his website mattered. I still don’t know if those rumors are true, but Matt Drudge no longer matters. Even the...

Since neither Drudge nor the U.S. Sun to which he links has any credibility whatsoever, I was wondering what anyone knew of the Sun's/Drudge's claim that Trump flew the Lolita Express. As in: is that even what the pilot actually said? I could easily imagine the pilot ingratiating himself with prosecutors by insinuating Trump, but did he say anything to contradict Trump's earlier claims about Epstein?

The former editor of the Drudge Report, Joseph Curl, announced Tuesday the launch of Off The Press, a conservative-oriented aggregator that he says will have a "fearless attitude" toward covering "everything for those who devour news all day." Curl says the marketplace is ripe for a premier, 24/7 news aggregator that consumers can trust, with the Drudge Report having become just another echo chamber for the mainstream media. "Now more than ever, keeping up with the most important stories is a battle," Curl says. "With social media deluging everyone with endless posts on their news feeds, the internet needs an...

The Drudge Report’s drift from its original Internet rebelliousness took another step into mainstream irrelevance with a purge this week of links to pioneering conservative sites The Gateway Pundit, World Net Daily, Free Republic and Lucianne.com. Also reportedly gone are links to the late Rush Limbaugh’s site and columnist David Limbaugh. Infowars and ZeroHedge survived the purge, however one report observed ZeroHedge was delisted for a time this week. Last month the Press Gazette reported the Drudge Report lost over forty percent of its traffic year-on-year from February 2020 to February 2021, “Influential conservative news aggregation site the Drudge Report...

This was just mentioned on Bannon's War room. It's branded as "The New Drudge Report". Just putting it out there and not pimping. I have no opinion yet.

Matt Drudge Logs Off The Drudge Report has become a conformist shadow of its formerly bratty, oppositional self. Why?It was the kind of story that would once have had Matt Drudge deploying font sizes that newspapers used to reserve for declarations of war. On Oct. 14, Twitter and Facebook blocked users from spreading a New York Post article alleging that Hunter Biden had brokered meetings between his father, then the vice president of the United States, and executives at a Ukrainian energy firm where the younger Biden held an $80,000-a-month sinecure. The Post’s article included photos of what appeared to...

Matt Drudge started showing signs that he had soured on President Donald Trump months before the election. Since the vote, the fedora-topped media pioneer has seemed even more eager to distance himself and his site from the man in the White House. “YOU’RE FIRED!” Drudge Report blared in a headline within minutes of CNN’s calling the election for Joe Biden on Saturday. For nearly 24 hours afterward, that headline remained at the top of the site. In addition, a screenshot of the Drudge Report main page, with the “YOU’RE FIRED!” headline, has been the only tweet on the @DRUDGE Twitter...

If you go to Drudge Report, you are not a conservative. You might be a Republican in the Lincoln Project RINO sense of the term, but you do not believe in the patriotic nature inherent in American conservatism. “I go for the non-political stories,” you might say. Well, stop. There are plenty of great sources out there to get the type of offbeat news Matt Drudge has been known to surface. “I want to see what the left is thinking,” I heard one friend who claims to be a conservative say in justification. Well, stop. Drudge’s mentality is not one...

Matt Drudge highlighted a passage from Trump’s book in which the future president mused about the American people not reelecting Jimmy Cater after realizing. he couldn’t fulfill his promises. Matt Drudge added fuel to the fire in his ongoing feud with President Donald Trump on Friday by prominently featuring an excerpt from Trump’s “The Art of the Deal” where he mused on why Jimmy Carter did not win reelection: “You can’t con people, at least not for long.” The Drudge Report, a conservative news aggregator run by Matt Drudge, has faced mounting criticism from Republicans — including President Trump —...

News media and election watchers have long relied on exit polling to tell them who voted and why they support their chosen candidate on election night, and despite the unprecedented challenges 2020 has presented, this year will be no different. Exit polling traditionally involves interviews with a randomly selected sample of voters conducted as those voters leave their polling places. Unlike preelection polling, where voters can be identified using only screening questions or a history of voting on a voter file, meeting voters where they are ensures that those included in the survey have actually cast their ballots. The Drudge Report continued its nine-month losing streak in September, according to Comscore data. The Drudge Report’s traffic fell 45% year-over-year in September, extending its nine-month losing streak in 2020, according to Comscore data. The data shows that visits to the conservative news aggregator was down, but one conservative figurehead who did not see declines is Dan Bongino, a Fox News contributor who launched his own aggregator site last year to compete with Drudge’s. Comscore did not provide full Bongino Report or Drudge Report numbers, but Bongino.com, which features original pieces instead of aggregated ones, saw a 780% increase over...

The Drudge Report posted a 45 percent decline in web traffic in September as the site alienated its core readers by turning against President Trump ahead of the 2020 presidential election. The data — derived from comScore, which tracks the industry — were released in a report by TheRighting, a website that analyzes traffic to right-leaning websites. TheRighting told The Post that the Drudge Report had 1,291,000 unique visitors in September, according to data supplied by comScore, down from 2,340,000 in the same month a year ago. September’s eye-popping decline marks the ninth month in a row that the political...
