WE FREEPERS NEED TO DO OUR PART TO MAKE SURE IT STAYS ON THE AIR UNTIL THE ELECTION!
Already mass emailed to the Usual Suspects out in 'netland... ...but besides sending the Vets money to keep this ad going, it's time to do the Activism Thing- letters to editors, call local talk radio, harangue colleagues and co-workers.
Kerry made a point of making Vietnam a centerpiece of this election- it's time to bury Kerry with it.
Freeper FRiends:
WE THE PEOPLE will have to spread the word about these Swift Boat Vets.....since the liberal media (80% have said they support Kerry) will not give these Veterans any coverage!
Please send this ad to all your cyberfriends, write letters about it to your newspapers and call talk radio stations.
I'm broke, but I'm sending them $10 a month through November.
DOC on BOORTZ after this break.............
That makes two good reasons to support this ad.
In other words folks, Mathews' take on the book is that it's written by jealous men who didn't get medals.
Thanks for the ping as I didn't see it. I guess Chris misses the "self-inflicted" part and that it is alleged to have happened twice.
I might, just might, watch him today---with adult beverage in hand of course. But I don't know that he deserves my attention anymore. We'll see.
My info in that post turned out to be incorrect.
That's the Bronze Star, and the Swift vets have three eyewitnesses who say Kerry's account is a complete crock.
60 minutes will probably do a 2 hour special with this book's authors, don't you think?
Yelp, About October 1st.....
"""After Hours' goes primetime tonight Joe Scarborough and Ron Reagan take your phone calls and e-mails about the latest assault on John Kerry's war record. Make your voice heard on this special live primetime edition of "After Hours," Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. (Also this Friday!)"
The heavily televised promo for the show gives the phone number
1-888-MSNBC-USA
I hope LOTS of us call in. I'll be speed-dialing my ass off to get through. re-reading the promo, it's clear Scarborough and Reagan will approach this as an unfair assault on John Kerry's war record, seeking to discredit the veterans who wrote Unfit For command.
I am just catching up to my pings now. I guess that you did see that ad. Powerful stuff.
John Edwards: "If you have any question about what John Kerry is made of, just spend 3 minutes with the men who served with him."
Al French: "I served with John Kerry."
Bob Elder: "I served with John Kerry."
George Elliott: "John Kerry has not been honest about what happened in Vietnam."
Al French: "He is lying about his record."
Louis Letson: "I know John Kerry is lying about his first Purple Heart because I treated him for that injury."
Van O'Dell: "John Kerry lied to get his bronze star ... I know, I was there, I saw what happened."
Jack Chenoweth: "His account of what happened and what actually happened are the difference between night and day."
Admiral Hoffman: "John Kerry has not been honest."
Adrian Lonsdale: "And he lacks the capacity to lead."
Larry Thurlow: "When the chips were down, you could not count on John Kerry."
Bob Elder: "John Kerry is no war hero."
Grant Hibbard: "He betrayed all his shipmates ... he lied before the Senate."
Shelton White: "John Kerry betrayed the men and women he served with in Vietnam."
Joe Ponder: "He dishonored his country ... he most certainly did."
Bob Hildreth: "I served with John Kerry ...
Bob Hildreth (off-camera): John Kerry cannot be trusted."
Announcer: "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is responsible for the content of this advertisement."
Brutally honest...MUD
There's still a hard rain due to fall over CFR. Meanwhile ...
Letters to the Editor...all across The Country...
"The local press in every community is much more independent..."

Since I was just pinged to the thread by someone and am just reading your comments I feel compelled to say I completely and utterly disagree that this is the type of commercial the Republicans should be running.
It is a devastating and stunning and very effective ad and I totally support it.
But we don't promote it by criticizing our own or diverting the discussion over griping about who should have run it.
No, the fact is this group is non-partisan. They held a press conference back in May explaining that if the dems would simply nominate someone else the group would disband and return to obscurity. Putting the "Republicans" into the mix would undermine and diminish, if not outright eliminate, the effectiveness that is there simply because this is the truth---not spin, not baseless, not fabricated.
If the ad doesn't affect the polls, i.e., if it doesn't cause the undecideds and kerry voters to move away from kerry, kerry doesn't have to do anything.
I will be posting a merged movie, the ad plus text of the swiftee news conference comments... to illustrate what I am suggesting....
