Why is Earth pulsating every 26 seconds, and why cant scientists explain it after 60 years? This is an enigma wrapped in a periodically predictable mystery motion. It could be a harmonic phenomenon, a regular seismic chirp caused by the suns energy, or a beacon drawing scientists to its source to begin a treasure hunt.
➡ The world is weird. We'll show you how it works.
In the early 1960s, a geologist named Jack Oliver first documented the pulse, also known as a "microseism," according to Discover. Oliver, who worked at Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory at the time, heard the noise, but didn't have the advanced instruments seismologists have now at his disposal.
Since then, scientists have spent a lot of time listening to the pulse and even finding out where it comes from: a part of the Gulf of Guinea called the Bight of Bonny, Discover says.
Perusing the misses’ underwear section, no doubt. *chuckle*
Like this new one better. Found on YT. Sounds like Radar having a party.

I caught this strange OTHR like signal while surfing the websdr site sounding very much like the old classic Russian Woodpecker which originally operated from 1976 to 1989. I remember it well. This signal also at 10 beats per second which gave off a powerful variable pulsing sound when in AM mode but I think it is a problem related to websdr I have Heard other CW, RTTY and time signals with similar pops and pulses. The signal climbed in frequency through the 14 mhz ham band and many SW broadcast .stations with little regard for their band space. Could this be the new Woodpecker I have been hearing about for the last few months? I would say the signal is considerably less powerful and narrower than the classic woodpecker of old, which was up to 50+ KHZ wide or more back in the day. some say its the same Duga facilities making the signals but I would guess it is a much smaller more modern system. I don’t even know if its Russian or not. I have not heard it yet here on Vancouver Island.
Thanks, I thought I was alone....
Yonada only needed a course correction. Ours has a case of the vapors.
Mother Earth is female.
No guy will ever know why she has her “times.”
....Called to the blackboard or the bell rings and you have a stiffy from musing over some class hottie or the milf teacher
Put your books in front....we didnt have back packs like now
Man....
They have pacemakers now that’ll detect and correct that. But it would be one whopper to install one on Earth.
Sounds like my wife. She’s been on the menopause carousel for months now and I wish she’d get off before I choke her. LOL
It is very interesting.
I had beans.
Hell, you just described me from about ‘75 onward. LOL
I remember hearing the Russian woodpecker all the time, in the 70s, when I was trying to communicate with other hams. It was usually 20 or 30 over S 9. Impossible to talk over.
