Im not enjoying the free republic lime I used to. Too many newbies that are trolls, looking for someone to drag into their abyss of self hatred. Theres been a lot of posts linked to posters with no bios, I think admin needs to limit the number of posts or remove those without any bio info.

I have never done one and you just reminded me of that. I see what you're talking about though. It's very disheartening. I was accused of being a plant. lol Yeah and that I signed up in 1998 to come and be mean.

I tried to make that person understand that if you add up the years that I've been here and just guess how old I may have been then that should've stopped that right there but it didn't.

I am a very ill person. I don't complain nor do I come on here and list my ailments. I will post and more than likely I won't get back to any of them in a timely manner.

As the kids say....it is what it is.

I do believe that there are so many trolls on here now that it has become a problem and I don't know what the answer is because God knows Jim is getting older like we are.

since you came here in 2018 (According to your profile), that means this is only your 2nd election anniversary, and are not acquainted to the reality that this site becomes quite a competitive affair as we fight for our candidate of choice.

This is one of especially importance as our Republic is under yet another siege that threatens this Republic perhaps even greater than that of the Civil War.

As for newbies or profiles, that is the decision of the person how signed up. Should we male Free Republic an authoritarian type of place? Absolutely not. You are free to stay or leave, and that should be your right, because that is how freedom works. I do not desire an authoritative environment, for this site, and especially not for my government.

Posting bio info makes you more locatable and easier to harass.

It's not the bio or lack of time on FR that's the problem, it's the posts that degenerate into personal insults and invective.

I would think the moderators could do something about that.
