California's Next Attorney General Issues Warning to Donald Trump Cheryl Miller, The Recorder December 1, 2016 Just hours after Gov. Jerry Brown nominated Xavier Becerra to be California's next attorney general, the longtime U.S. lawmaker warned the Trump administration to expect a fight if newly emboldened Republicans challenge the Golden State's liberal laws and policies. "If you want to take on a forward-leaning state that is prepared to defend its rights and interests, come at us," Becerra, a 12-term Democratic congressman from Los Angeles, told reporters

Congressman Xavier Becerra, Los Angeles (D - CA), Laughs When Someone from Ari David for Congress Suggests Opening an Immigration Rally With The Pledge of Allegiance. Becerra is the one in the dark suit seated on stage. Not until the congressman is specifically confronted does he and the CHIRLA/SEIU rally leader agree that not to do so would be a massive fault. However, you can see the natural inclination was to dismiss the suggestion. Date 2-19-10, location is the Los Angeles SEIU offices.

Lefties and their media minions painted President Joe Biden’s border opening as humane and just, but it brought the largest child-trafficking operation in history. A quarter-million unaccompanied children, waved into the interior, simply disappeared because the Bidenites made no real provision for keeping track of them — with Xavier Becerra, now running to become California’s next governor, one of the chief culprits. US law requires the feds to carefully supervise and track unaccompanied minors they let enter the country, passing them only to vetted sponsors, ideally family or former neighbors, who agree to take good care of the kids, enroll...

Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApesLeaked recording of Xavier Becerra at HHS under Biden saying he was putting illegal migrant children “in an assembly line”He clearly says the American people will be upset knowing how much Democrats were spending on children who shouldn’t even be here in America, and he’s instructing his staff to place them as quickly as they can without doing the proper checksHow is this guy not rotting in prison“This is not the way you do an assembly line”“We need to get discharges up — Every time we have to go to the Hill and explain why we're spending so...

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) is reportedly being prepared to run for president in 2028 by former President Joe Biden’s chief of staff, who also worked with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra on their respective campaigns. Sources familiar with the matter told Politico’s Playbook this week that Khanna has caught the attention of Ron Klain, an attorney who was an appointee of former President Barack Obama as the White House Ebola Response Coordinator. Klain, who was named Biden’s chief of staff after working as a senior adviser on his 2020 campaign, is now a...

Former Biden cabinet member Xavier Becerra is headed for a November showdown after making his way into the top tier of California’s gubernatorial primary, according to the Associated Press. The ex-Health and Human Services secretary made up significant ground on Republican frontrunner Steve Hilton as late-arriving ballots continued to be counted across the state. With more than 67% of expected ballots tallied, Hilton — the former Fox News host — fell behind with 26.3% of the vote, while Becerra held a razor-thin lead with 26.7% of the vote, according to AP. As of Friday afternoon, more than 24,000 votes separated...

The field of candidates for governor was once crowded with big-name California Democrats. By Election Day, it had narrowed to two — Xavier Becerra and Tom Steyer — and Republican Steve Hilton. Each of those three campaigns has a story to tell about its own success. Becerra will talk about how he overcame “racist” criteria on polling and fundraising to become the first viable Latino candidate for governor (after Eric Swalwell imploded in a sudden sex scandal). Steyer will talk about how he fought billionaires and special interests — after spending over $200 million of his own money, a record...

Cops on both sides of the US-Mexico border are investigating a sprawling underground passage uncovered in the Tijuana area that is believed to extend toward the US. The tunnel was found Saturday in the Nueva Tijuana neighborhood during a raid carried out by Mexican federal authorities with support from the Mexican Navy, according to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office. The underground route was uncovered after authorities executed a search warrant at a property in eastern Tijuana. During the operation, officers seized a variety of items, including ammunition, cell phones, bank cards, a digital video recorder and dozens of doses of methamphetamine....

Across California, progressives enter the June 2 primaries with rare chances to score major wins. In the governor’s race, billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer is running as a progressive class traitor. He enjoys the monetary resources necessary to challenge the party establishment-backed Xavier Becerra, a veteran congressman who was secretary of Health and Human Services under the Biden administration. In Los Angeles, City Councilwoman Nithya Raman is an insurgent attempting to unseat Karen Bass, the embattled incumbent mayor endorsed by Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Yet progressives are undermining their own prospects. California’s top-two “jungle primaries,” in which...

“You need Chevron, I need Chevron.” That’s the message from Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner Xavier Becerra, who’s making waves by breaking with the left on one of California’s most ambitious climate policies — as he refuses to fully back the state’s plan to phase out new gas-powered vehicle sales by 2035. The former Health and Human Services secretary, who leads polling ahead of the June 2 primary to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom, stopped short of endorsing the state’s target to ban new gas and hybrid vehicle purchases starting in 2035. “California should transition from gas-powered vehicles when it makes sense —...

Tom Steyer was in the groove last Saturday as he prepared to court black voters in historic Leimert Park, the cultural hub of Los Angeles’s Black community. Directed by R&B singer Howard Hewitt to clap “on beat,” the billionaire Democrat stood and closed his eyes, biting his lower lip and raising his arm overhead as he swayed with the crowd. He would tell the packed room of voters that he’d been a leader in pushing for reparations for the descendants of enslaved people. He would describe the Black community as “the moral leader of the United States” for as long...

Former Biden Cabinet member Xavier Becerra remains the top Democrat in the California governor’s race despite being targeted by a barrage of negative political ads and enduring sharp attacks from his rival candidates during recent debates, according to a new poll released Tuesday by the state Democratic Party. Billionaire Tom Steyer, a Democrat who is shattering self-funding records for statewide office, has been flooding the television airwaves, internet and social media with ads ripping Becerra’s long record in public office, as well as for accepting campaign donations from oil giant Chevron. But, thus far, that has not been enough for...

A deceptive PAC is playing dirty tricks to promote “MAGA” Republican Steve Hilton for California governor. The people behind this PAC are either Democrats or the Hilton campaign. Let me explain. California has a “top two” electoral system. Every candidate, from every party, runs in a “free for all” June primary; the “top two” face off in the November general election. About 45% of California voters are registered as Democratic vs. 25% Republican, 23% Independent, and 7% some third party. This means the “top two” candidates in November are often both Democrats. But this year so many Democrats are running...

In [2021-2023], thousands of children crossed the border alone and ended up working in some of the most dangerous jobs in the country. Migrant children as young as 13 suffered chemical burns on overnight factory shifts, had their limbs mangled by conveyor belts or fell to their deaths from roofs......[HHS Secretary] Xavier Becerra [who was in charge of finding homes for the kids] began urging staff members to move them more quickly through shelters... Employees told me they loosened protections that had been in place for years, including in screening sponsors... Most of [the kids Becerra placed with sponsors] were...

He's quite the jerk when he thinks he's off camera. When's a reporter not a reporter, just a public relations adjunct of an incompetent, scandal-ridden, Democrat? When Xavier Becerra, Democrat frontrunner in the California gubernatorial race by default after Eric Swalwell's embarrassing exit, is around. Get a load of this disgusting exchange, attempting to intimidate a KTLA reporter into producing a puff piece about him: [X video at article link] He's trying to come off as a mafia boss, which isn't inconsistent with what insiders have said about him, yet he's also quite the smug, self-satisfied, twerpy little jerk, trying...
