VIDEO The creator of the Dilbert cartoon strip, Scott Adams, who has an amazingly accurate track record for his predictions has predicted the demise of both Vox and the Daily Beast within a year. A big part of the reason is that both these outlets, especially Vox, have been at the forefront of promoting widespread censorship on YouTube and the rest of the social media.

Demonetization is when the platform deems you too controversial to be a money partner with them for their ad clicks. A harmless Australian channel with nature sounds and relaxation music was demonetized by YouTube during the purge of "hate speech" channels in the wake of the Steven Crowder/Vox.com battle. This is not a political channel but it somehow has been tossed into the battle. YouTube revenue is their lone source of income (granted, not the wisest choice but if you live out in remote Australia, you might have few ways to make a buck).

Vox reporter Carlos Maza, whose pressure campaign against YouTube contributed to the mass-demonetization and banning of independent media and right-wing channels, is a former Media Matters employee who defended the violent Antifa movement. The Vox reporter who YouTube listened to, causing the #VoxAdpocalypse, also encouraged the recent trend physical attacks against pro-Brexit politicians in the United Kingdom, in which left-wing protesters hurled milkshakes at them. “Milkshake them all,” said Maza on Twitter, which has not restricted his account for promoting physical assaults on politicians.

YouTube is investigating conservative commentator Steven Crowder after Vox host Carlos Maza accused him of harassment and making derogatory comments about his ethnicity and sexuality. YouTube responded to Maza's tweet thread detailing his allegations, saying that it was "looking into it further." The company also confirmed to The Hill that it was investigating in response to Maza's thread, but declined to comment further. Usually, that’s a bit of hyperbole to point toward the tendency of progressives to embrace top-down, big government solutions to every problem. But in this case, it’s almost literally true, though the real progressive is embracing a fictional fascist from the show Game of Thrones.
