  • Are there any Mutual Funds that refuse to invest in Companies located in Anti-Gun States? (VANITY)

    10 Sept 2013
I'm dropping my auto/home insurance tomorrow from a company located in the North-East (a gun grabbing state). Can't see sending $4500 a year to the NorthEast only to have those Yankee Libs pay me back with gun restrictions. Does anyone know if there are similar Mutual funds? If you're in the business, you should think about starting one. Just sayin ...
  • Climate Change Influenced 2012's Extreme Weather, Report Finds

    Yahoo ^ | 9/9/13 | Denise Chow - LiveScience.com
Man-made climate change contributed to some of 2012's most extreme weather, including the spring and summer heat waves that baked parts of the United States and Hurricane Sandy, which devastated coastal communities along the eastern coast of the country, according to a new report. The study, which includes research from 18 different teams from around the world, examined 12 extreme weather events from last year and found that human-caused global warming increased the likelihood of half of the incidents, while the others were dictated by natural weather variability. "We've got some new evidence here that human influence has changed the...

Was the Bush administration right all along? Could these indeed be the very same WMDs that intelligence agencies from around the world claimed were in Hussein’s possession which he then transferred over to Syria? The earliest account of Hussein having hidden his WMDs in Syria came in January of 2004. Nizar Nayouf, an award-winning Syrian journalist who was granted political asylum in France, said in a letter to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf not only that he knew Iraq’s WMDs were being hidden inside Syria, but that he could pinpoint precisely where they were being kept. According to Nayouf’s witness, described...
  • How does reduction in the labor force result in a lower unemployment rate?

I keep hearing in the media that the unemployment rate is down below 8% due to a reduction of the total number of workers participating in the labor force. It seems to me that if there are fewer people in the labor force, and the number of unemployed goes up or remains constant, the unemployment would be higher, not lower. If there are 5,000,000 unemployed out of 50,000,000 labor force, the unemployment rate is 10%, but if the labor force is only 40,000,000, then the unemployment rate would be 12.5%. Right? Yet I continually hear on Rush and elswhere that...
  • John "Unbelievably Small" Kerry and Obama Small-Minded Solution for Syria

Sorry, Mr. Secretary, any you stepped directly into this one with both feet, and will never outlive this moniker. From small minds come small solutions, but anyone who thinks that a single small operation will have any lasting impact on the incredibly complex situation in Syria should not be Secretary of State, or President for that matter.

It appears that Lurch is off to another banner week in foreign policy. I doubt that Freepers expected no less of Kerry. I certainly didn't. Back in January, I wrote my Senator (the Republican one, Arlen Toomey) to urge him not to vote to confirm Kerry. Of course Toomey voted to confirm, along with just about every other Senator. The three exceptions were Inhofe, Cornyn and Cruz. I seriously have to wonder if Republican Senators are out of touch with reality. Or maybe it is me.

It is time to quit using the expression "boots on the ground' I think it is a liberal expression designed to dehumanize our soldiers and to desensitize us to the human cost. Please use the term "putting the cream of our American youth in harm's way"
  • In hindsight, did Reagan err in backing the mujahideen in Afghanistan during the 80s?

    09/07/2013 10:13:51 PM PDT · by jeltz25 · 60 replies
With all the recent talk about the rebels in Syria being affiliated with AQ, I got to thinking about the "rebels" against the Russians back in the 80s. Now, AQ didn't exist back then, but they were clearly the forerunners of AQ and many of them grew into AQ and other terrorist movements. If you look back many of the folks the CIA backed back then(working hand in hand with the Wahabbis in Saudi and the ISI in Pakistan) were not exactly the salt of the earth. Hindsight is always 20/20, but just wondering how folks feel about that now....

Glen has been hosting local radio show on the weekends and is a great spokesman for the conservative American cause. Please say a prayer for Glen and his father Jack in his time of need.

  • Syria : Obama's Epic Stalingrad Defeat to effect Benghazi, IRS Scandals and Illegal Amnesty ?

. Obama's manufactured "Syrian Crisis" may yet prove to be his political Stalingrad. The myth of German Invincibility was shattered in January 1943 when some 265,000 Germans surrendered to the Russian Red Army. Just like the Germans' irreplaceable losses in men and equipment eventually cost them victory, Obama's incredible loss of face, honor (amongst staunch liberals), and political capital are staggering. And even today, the Iranian leadership threatened to kidnap, rape and murder Obama's daughters if America attached Syria. Clearly, America's Ignorant Sodomite Kenyan is being played globally as a "Monkey with a Hand Grenade" (as state by Putin's Russian...
  • Vanity: Should Tea Party Protest (not just Obamacare, Amnesty, but also Anti-War Syria?): And when?

Guys, does it seem strange that the left is taking the lead with the protests this time? Shouldn't we tea party/conservative folk also be "on the streets?" or have we lost our passion? Where are the organized Tea Parties against War (and then Obamacare/Amnesty)? I know that Tea Party Patriots, is organizing one on the 10th: http://www.exemptamerica.com/ but shouldn't we be protesting against a war that would support Al Qaeda, and needlessly spend American money, lives, and even Syrian lives for "the President's honor"? Be darned that we are allying on this one issue with the lefties, we'll fight them...

From what I understand, this nation has been fighting against terrorism since September 11, 2001. In fact, it was described as a "War on Terrorism" in the days of President George W. Bush. The men around Bush like Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Dan Senor and others spoke of fighting against Al Quaeda. But now those gentlemen and other members of the GOP elite like former RINO Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Senator John McCain, Speaker of the House John Boehner and the list goes on want us to help the "rebels" in Syria's civil war that include terrorists like Al...

What prompted 0bama to draw the red line in the first place? (He normally only comments on race-baiting and LGBT issues, sports, and gun control or similar freedom-limiting topics.) Why did he specify Syria as opposed to any other country? Was Syria threatening to use chemical weapons? Does he have some special interest in Syria? Do other countries have free rein to use chemical weapons without fear of reprisal from the 0bama administration? What is the supposed reason for US involvement here as opposed to anywhere else where atrocities are committed? Was this all a pre-planned setup to give 0bama...
