Voters are souring on the state of the nation, with a stunning 74% saying the US is on the wrong track, according to a survey released Sunday. The NBC poll found just 20% of respondents say America is moving in the right direction. The last time voters were that bitter about the nation’s course — in 1992 and 2008 — the party in control of the White House changed hands, NBC’s Chuck Todd noted in unveiling the results.

NBC’s Chuck Todd said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell’s Reports” that former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for speaker after Tuesday’s failed votes did not get a “single new vote” today. On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA,THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE “HOUSE” TWICE!”

NBC host Chuck Todd said Sunday on KNBC’s “Today in LA Weekend” that he believes America is seeing the “beginning of the end” of former President Donald Trump’s political career. Anchor Conan Nolan said, “Part of the narrative following the midterm elections that Republicans are finally getting that they can’t win with Donald Trump. They’re tired of losing. Mike Allen of Axios has a piece where he says that he quotes one Republican as saying that President Joe Biden has carefully and cautiously waged war in Ukraine with no American troops, and he has had just one of the best...

NBC host Chuck Todd said Sunday on KNBC’s “Today in LA Weekend” that he believed Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) would end up being the Speaker of the House. Anchor Conan Nolan asked, “We have a Southern California in the leadership of the Democratic Party on the House, Pete Aguilar from San Bernardino. The other House member with clout is Kevin McCarthy. Do you believe he’s going to be the next speaker?” Todd said, “I don’t know. I have to say I wouldn’t put my house payment on it. I wouldn’t put my mortgage on it. I think he’s going to...

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” said the attack against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi was part of a recent surge in political violence that started with the riots in the summer of 2020 in the wake of the death of George Floyd. Anchor Chuck Todd said, “You had to cancel your outdoor inauguration at the start of 2021. It was the day after the January 6th attack. You talked about direct threats against your family. I think it was your COVID policies that seemed to fire up people to do these threats....

It’s been quite a political journey for Scott Brown and his family, and that journey could very well come to an end in today’s N.H. 01 GOP primary. In 2010, Brown pulled off a stunning upset in Massachusetts, winning the Senate seat held by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy and ending the Democrats’ filibuster-proof majority. In 2012, he lost the Senate seat to Democrat Elizabeth Warren. In 2014, he switched states — from Massachusetts to New Hampshire — to challenge Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H. He lost, but the issues he used in that campaign’s closing days (immigration, ISIS and Ebola)...

WASHINGTON — More than six months after Jan. 6 — and after all of the reporting on that day — Donald Trump’s hold over the Republican Party hasn’t gotten weaker. It’s only grown stronger. In Oklahoma, the state GOP chair is backing a primary challenge to the reliably conservative sitting Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla. Lankford’s sin: refusing to reject the Electoral College count on Jan. 6. In Alaska, the state party has endorsed challenger Kelly Tshibaka over Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. Murkowski voted to convict Trump in his impeachment trial. In Ohio, the candidates vying to fill the open Senate...

Fauci claims it's critical to 'get the extra added level of protection' --- Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday said that Americans traveling to places with a low COVID-19 vaccination rate should "go the extra mile" and wear a mask even if they are fully vaccinated. NBC's "Meet the Press" anchor Chuck Todd said that Mississippi has the lowest vaccination rate in the United States and asked Fauci whether he would wear a mask if he was traveling there, prompting him to say, "I think there would be a good reason to do that." "I think there would be a good...

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” declared that the Republican Party was not a “Trump-first party.” Anchor Chuck Todd said, “This is going to be a lonely effort for a while, I imagine. There are some folks that are wondering is the Republican Party tied to Donald Trump, can that party survive?” Kinzinger said, “So I think that’s the question. I was disappointed over the last few weeks to see what seemed like the Republican Party waking up and then falling asleep again and saying what matters is if we can win in two years and...

President Donald Trump has demanded the presenter of NBC News' Meet The Press, Chuck Todd, be fired after the program admitted to 'inadvertently cutting short' a sound bite from Attorney General William Barr when responding to a question about the dismissal of charges against former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Late on Sunday night, Trump tweeted: 'Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd should be FIRED by 'Concast' (NBC) for this fraud. He knew exactly what he was doing. Public Airwaves = Fake News!' The president's tweet came after the Department of Justice slammed the Sunday morning news program for deceptively editing the...

Full title: Chuck Todd: American Distrust Of Media Created By "Conservative Echo Chamber," "Not Based In Much Fact" On Sunday's edition of 'Meet the Press,' NBC's Chuck Todd disagreed with CBN's David Brody that the American public is right not to trust the mainstream media. "I'd say on the Republican side they got exactly what they wanted, a guy that was going to shake things up. Look, I think one of the best things going in Donald Trump's favor-- we know this-- is the mainstream media. I hate to say it. I know I'm sitting on a Meet the Press...

Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd said President Donald Trump must accept “the fact” that Russia interfered in this election or he will be “on the brink of becoming a temporary lame duck presidency.” Todd said, “You have a presidency right now that I think is, it’s beyond saying it’s in crisis mode, it’s, you know, it’s on the brink, the question is on the brink of what? Is it on the brink of collapse? Is it on the brink of becoming a temporary lame duck presidency? Maybe it feels lame-duckish temporarily right...

Here is video of Tea Party Organizer Tim Phillips, from Americans for Prosperity, talking with MSNBC's Chuck Todd today and explaining that the Tea Parties reflect that millions of "Americans are fed up" -- fed up with the wasteful deficit spending of the Federal government that will lead to higher taxes for everyone. . . . . .
