Democrats’ midterm mirage

The biggest difference between the successes of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who both got re-elected, and the failure of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris team to win four more years was their midterm experiences.

Chuck Todd makes a very good point in this article. Both Clinton and Obama did very poorly in the first midterms after their first election. This caused them to do somewhat of a course correction. Biden did better than expected and decided that things were going very well and he would even run again. Ha ha ha.
What Biden did not factor in was that the Dobbs decision on Roe v. Wade had been recently overturned and, combined with the snake Lindsey Graham saying we should have a national law banning abortion, pro abortion people were extremely motivated to vote in the 2022 election. By the 2024 election, they realize that not only had abortion not been banned nationwide, but in many states it was more liberal than it had been before.
