Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse. None of the rioters were ever really held accountable, and now they’re getting a big cash settlement over their arrests. The city of Washington has reached a $1.6 million settlement in two lawsuits that included allegations of arrests without cause and excessive force on protestors during the inauguration of former President Donald Trump in January 2017.

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that 100 days after he sent a letter to the Justice Department questioning why the department declined to prosecute an assistant United States attorney after the Inspector General found that the attorney had spent hours online viewing adult content during work hours, he still has not received a response. Several local residents have written letters recently taking issue with the federal and local governments' assistance in retrofitting Mexican diesel trucks traveling in the United States with pollution control devices.The assistance comes in response to a Bush administration policy announced in 2002 and confirmed by the Supreme Court in 2004 that for the first time will allow commercial trucks from Mexico to cross the border and travel throughout the United States.
