WASHINGTON Senator Chuck Grassley today said that 100 days after he sent a letter to the Justice Department questioning why the department declined to prosecute an assistant United States attorney after the Inspector General found that the attorney had spent hours online viewing adult content during work hours, he still has not received a response.
According to the Inspector General, the Assistant U.S. Attorney acknowledged he had spent a significant amount of time each day viewing pornography, including one case of child pornography. The report indicates that the U.S. Attorneys office declined to prosecute the case.
Grassley said his staff has contacted the department several times since the letter was sent, but has yet to receive an official response from the Justice Department.
In a July 7, 2011 letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, Grassley questioned the departments decision to not prosecute and delay disciplinary action against the attorney. He also asked the types of cases the attorney worked on and the steps the department has taken to update its technology to keep pornography off its computers. Grassley said hes looking to be sure these types of activities are stopped in the future.
Last year, Grassley learned that 33 employees at the Securities and Exchange Commission who were found to have viewed pornography during work hours were not terminated and were given uneven and light disciplinary action.

This is sick, and thanks to Sen. Grassley for trying to do something about it.
Isn’t it better for Holder’s people to sit around viewing porn than it is to have them engaging in criminal activity that creates a more direct threat to the citizens?
If porn is allowed come into those machines from an unsecured web site, then data on those machines can simultaneously go out. Besides the moral and ethical aspects here, there is also the threat this poses to national security. Any classified information that was on his computer should now be considered compromised.
Cheers!
I'm sure NOTHING ever gets leaked from this office.
He was on Anthony Wiener’s email list?
Holder Admits Nine Justice Dept. Officials Worked for Terrorist Detainees
Attorney General Eric Holder says nine Obama appointees in the Justice Department have represented or advocated for terrorist detainees before joining the Justice Department.
But he does not reveal any names beyond the two officials whose work has already been publicly reported. And all the lawyers, according to Holder, are eligible to work on general detainee matters, even if there are specific parts of some cases they cannot be involved in.
Holders admission comes in the form of an answer to a question posed last November by Republican Sen. Charles Grassley. Noting that one Obama appointee, Principal Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal, formerly represented Osama bin Ladens driver
This is a a surprise why?
Eric Holder is the top law enforcement officer in the U.S.
He and his boss are beyond pathetic.
Just another reason it’s now called the Just-Us Dept.
There is a valid reason for an Asst AG to have pornography on his computer IFF he is prosecuting such a case. However not responding for 100 days seems to indicate that an answer as simple as that was in fact NOT the case.
Withholder decided not to prosecute after it was learned the U.S. Attorney was only viewing black porn.
The Grassley article doesn’t state a name, maybe its one of the nine that represented terrorists before. Obama appointee, Neal Katyal, formerly represented Osama bin Ladens driver.
If the Feds wont prosecute, how about the state?
Is DC only Federal jurisdiction? I guess so....
Answered my own question...
Maybe he has the goods on Mac daddy and Eric, my people, holder on video.

Maybe he has the goods on Mac daddy and Eric, my people, holder on video.
That doesn’t bother me. As long as you watch for specific conflicts (both legal and government ethics), a good attorney can switch between prosecution and defense without much problems. The good prosecutors have worked defense, and the good defense attorneys have prosecuted.
