The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards aired on Sunday, August 30 from New York City and Black Lives Matter and get out the vote messages were sprinkled throughout. As with everything during the coronavirus pandemic, this award show was not what we are accustomed to seeing. Many locations were used for the performances and for most there was no live audience.
