Detroit's city's top lawyer has resigned and drawn outrage after describing one of the city's courts as a "ghetto court." Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr. said Kathleen Leavey resigned Thursday after a complaint from the 36th District Court's chief judge, Marylin Atkins. He said Leavey's comments were "unacceptable and do not reflect the values" of his administration.
