It's possible that while President Barack Obama was a student at Columbia, he wasn't the library monk he claimed to be and was actually still hanging out with the "Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.”Which would explain the D average in his classes and the F in Economics.Do I have any evidence Obama received these marks at Columbia?Well, do you have any proof he didn't?That's the logic Obama hatchet man David Axelrod used on "Face the Nation" this weekend. "This part about foreign money, that appears to be peanuts," said CBS chief Washington correspondent Bob Schieffer. "Mr....

El Rushbo transcripts are ready in three hours. Hardboiled takes three days. Why is that? Prissy Chrissy had some nasty words tonight but there is no way to share them with the masses. I think I just got called 'deranged', 'screwball' and 'nuts' on tonight's cable telecast. Is there anyone in charge at PMSNBC? Don't they want these ideas spread to every end of the ever-warming planet? Why does it take so long to post Matthew's spitting words on the net? Are they that offensive that all three viewers won't be as offended a couple of days down the road?...

This is a continuation of an earlier thread with the same title. In the previous thread I pointed out to photos that indicated that there was a mobile radar unit at Smolensk that had air traffic control capabilities (ATC). I also pointed out how the runway the president's plane landed on was not the main runway at Smolensk. The thread was posted prior to the release of the transcripts of the voice recordings between the crew on the president's plane and other individuals who had spoken to the crew. It is interesting to see how the press is still focused...

In a nationally televised educational address next Tuesday Barack Obama is scheduled to, according to the Department of Education, “challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning.” Concerns by many Americans that Mr. Obama’s televised address to schoolchildren will simply represent a forum for socialist indoctrination are wildly “overwrought” according to a Wall Street Journal editorial today: “America's children are not so vulnerable that we need to slap an NC-17 rating on Presidential speeches. Given how many minority children struggle in school, a pep talk from the first African-American President could even do some...

Question: Is there a cheap software program ... that will take sound from a downloaded file, video, or audio, and transcript it into text, and do a good job? I'm using Windows XP SP2 and Word 97.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: It's even made the UK Telegraph, ladies and gentlemen. "Barack Obama Swats Fly During CNBC Interview." US President Obama swatted and killed a fly during an interview with CNBC and then they go on to describe, wow, after killing the fly, Obama said, "That was pretty impressive, wasn't it? I got the sucker." "As Obama started to respond to a question from the interviewer he became distracted by a fly buzzing around his head and started to laugh." We have audio on this. This is how it happened last night on CNBC, chief Washington correspondent John Harwood...

We're here to mark that day in history when the Allied armies joined in battle to reclaim this continent to liberty. For 4 long years, much of Europe had been under a terrible shadow. Free nations had fallen, Jews cried out in the camps, millions cried out for liberation. Europe was enslaved, and the world prayed for its rescue. Here in Normandy the rescue began. Here the Allies stood and fought against tyranny in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history. We stand on a lonely, windswept point on the northern shore of France. The air is soft, but 40...

A series of letters have been allegedly written by Leading Seaman Faye Turney while in Iranian custody and released by the Iranian government. There is no independent evidence that the letters are genuine - or whether they were written willingly. RELEASED FRIDAY 30 MARCH To British People I am writing to you as a British service person who has been sent to Iraq, sacrificed due to the intervening policies of the Bush and Blair governments. We were arrested after entering Iranian waters by the Iranian forces. For this, I am deeply sorry. I understand that this has caused even more...

WASHINGTON, March 23, 2007 – After hearing the allegations against them, one detainee at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, claimed ignorance of his alleged role in two U.S. embassy bombings, and another, accused of financing terrorist attacks in Southeast Asia, said nothing. The Defense Department today released the transcripts of the combat status review tribunal hearings for Ahmed Khalafan Ghailani and Mohamed Farik bin Amin Zubair. The tribunals, held at the Guantanamo detention facility, were administrative hearings to determine only if the detainees could be designated enemy combatants. In his March 17 hearing, Ghailani was accused of purchasing and supplying TNT,...

In a commentary on Nixon’s declaration that he has made progress in ending the war and particularly in ending American involvement in the war, visiting American actress Jane Fonda said Monday morning: ((Recorded voice of a woman with an American accent – FBIS)) As the elections in the United States are drawing near, Richard Nixon is using the most cynical and criminal kinds of lies and trickery to fool the American opinion and world opinion into believing that he is trying to end the war in Indochina. How can he be ending the war when he is killing more people...

Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge James C. Emerson today ordered the release of more than 2,500 pages of transcribed testimony given over several months this year to the grand jury that indicted San Jose's mayor on six criminal felony counts. Fifty-five pages of the transcripts were sealed, including the testimony of Mayor Ron Gonzales and his chief aide, Joe Guerra. The release of the transcripts represents the latest chapter in a yearlong scandal that has roiled San Jose City Hall during a mayoral election year. The issue has generated two major investigations, an unprecedented censure of the mayor by...

WASHINGTON, Feb. 28, 2006 – The Defense Department is preparing to release detainee hearing transcripts containing the names of persons held at the detainee facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a senior Pentagon official said here yesterday. The department will abide by the judge's ruling, DoD spokesman Bryan Whitman told Pentagon reporters. The U.S. Justice Department declined to appeal the judge's ruling, which requires DoD to provide the...

Transcript for Part I: Question from audience: You mentioned a little bit ago, ‘Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago,’ that’s my question. And as a white man standing here in your midst from a fairly liberal/conservative/middle of the road background—and I tell people I’m so far left I’m coming up on the rigt—and I’d like you to respond to, why shouldn’t we do something and how could we move so they don’t see us coming? Churchill: I’m gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that...

Eagle - In emotional arguments today, the lawyer for Kobe Bryant's accuser said the woman and her family felt betrayed by the people she trusted most - the judges presiding over the sex-assault case and the district attorney's office. The lawyer, John Clune, said at a pre-trial hearing today that this lack of faith in the system had previously caused the now-20-year-old woman to consider whether she should go forward with the case. The woman claims that the basketball star raped her on June 30, 2003, in his Edwards hotel room. Bryant has pleaded not guilty and alleges the woman...

Last night on the Larry King show, King interviewed Bob Woodword and Prince BANDAR BIN SULTAN, SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO U.S. In that interview, King asked Prince Bandar about lowering the price of oil before the election.
