Coppins’s book “Romney: A Reckoning” comes out next week. Romney said he deflected the idea, pointing to his belief that such a push would benefit Trump’s reelection chances. A source familiar with Winfrey said she was never serious about running, though some confidants...

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Tuesday on “CNN Primetime” that former President Donald Trump can not win the presidential election in November 2024, and he will “crush the Republican ticket going down.” When asked to react to the Georgia indictment, Sununu said, “I’m not a lawyer. I will say, this is incredibly similar to the federal indictment that Jack Smith is doing out of DOJ. Other than, as you brought up, now 18 people involved. That’s a much bigger swath of individuals. Something that I think republicans need to take note of, this is a grand jury in a very...

During the panel discussion on Joe Biden being noncommittal on a 2024 presidential run, Behar said, “Unless Trump is in prison. It could happen. If Trump is in prison or somewhere maybe in Saudi Arabia, somewhere like Russia, it’s possible.”

Ever since Donald Trump sulked out of the White House, the question has never been whether he would do whatever he could to get back in, the question has always been whether he could do it. At first it looked like Trump could easily secure the Republican nomination but could not unseat President Biden. Slowly but steadily this script is flipping. Increasingly Trump is looking stronger against a flailing Biden, while eroding as the preferred candidate for Republicans. The prospect of the GOP turning to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is very real, if DeSantis plays his cards right and Trump...

Progressives are openly frustrated as the Biden administration flounders on issues across the board, but they are dismissing outright suggestions that previous party leaders — or, worse, Republicans — could be the solution. While former President Donald Trump has yet to formally announce a 2024 White House bid, he’s already stoking speculation about potential running mates — all of whom, he claims, are “begging” to be on the ticket, according to a new report. Politico, citing interviews with a dozen Trump advisers and associates, reported that the 45th president will largely choose his campaign sidekick based on two factors: unconditional loyalty, and support for Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was stolen by the Democrats. “They’ll have to denounce what happened in 2020,” former Trump campaign staffer Michael Caputo told the outlet. “If...
