RUSH: Hey, folks, how’s everybody? I’m great, and it’s great to be back, and I really apologize for missing last week, but it’s actually not that big a deal. I mean, it seemed like it was a big deal at the time. I didn’t want to be out, but I had no choice. I had to be out. It was unexpected. It was unannounced. So I apologize for it. But I’m looking back and a lot seems to have happened in the past week. But not really. I mean, how much can really happen when I’m a here? Especially when...

(Angry Patriot) – During her tenure at Fox News, Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly were constantly at each other’s throats — often over her selfish attitude and need to make everything about her. So, it makes perfect sense that O’Reilly revealed that her nickname was “Me-Again” Kelly, via Washington Feed. According to O’Reilly, it was “always about Megyn,” which is not hard to believe. All of the drama surrounding Kelly is coming out in the open after she tore up her contract with Fox News, with some months still remaining on it. Kelly was on a break from Fox News...

Former Fox star Megyn Kelly’s move to NBC continues to make waves – this time for one of the peacock network’s most familiar faces. Ten-year veteran of the “Today” show Tamron Hall has announced her departure when her contract expires at the end of this month. Her exit follows last week’s announcement that Kelly would be taking over Hall’s third-hour slot that she has co-hosted with Al Roker. In a statement Wednesday, Hall said, “The last ten years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful. I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my...

As you may have heard, MSNBC has seen some big (and warranted) changes in 2015. Add it all up, and every program that existed from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM EDT as recently as six months ago no long exists. The alterations are swift: A national correspondent (Kate Snow) and a political director (Chuck Todd) will be joining and rejoining, respectively, the 19-year-old cable network. Morning Joe will occupy 25 percent of live (or plausibly live) programming per day. Opinion-based programming––at least after the morning show and before primetime––has been cleared away as a more traditional news focus takes...

The Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney probably won’t be getting a call from any of MSNBC’s “NewsNation” bookers about an appearance any time soon. On MSNBC’s “NewsNation” on Friday, host Tamron Hall got into an on-air disagreement with Carney that led to her producers cutting him completely out of an interview segment. The two got off to a rocky start discussing MSNBC’s coverage of a Washington Post story about Mitt Romney’s high school years. But in a follow-up question to Carney, Carney protested the premise of Hall’s entire line of questioning. “[W]hat you’re doing here is a typical media trick,” Carney...

In an MSNBC "Lean Forward" promo aired on today's Morning Joe, Tamron Hall says she's been upset and saddened by the use of patriotism and military families as political pawns. So where did Hall station herself for purposes of the spot? Why, in front of a military jet [an A-4 Skyhawk]! As she so often does during her on-air appearances, Hall also spoke of her background as member of a military family. Speaking of using the military as a pawn, have you ever heard Hall or any of her MSNBC cohorts criticize President Obama for staging shots like the one...

On Tuesday, The Washington Post's Felicia Sonmez noted how MSNBC's Tamron Hall moderated the recent Congressional Black Caucus town hall where Rep. Andre Carson smeared the Tea Party by accusing them of wanting to bring back Jim Crow laws and endorsing the lynching of blacks. Former Obama aide turned NBC employee Joy-Ann Reid also attended the CBC event, but omitted Rep. Carson's attack from her report.During the August 22 town hall in Miami, Carson, a leader within the liberal Congressional Black Caucus from Indiana, actually apologized to Hall in the midst of his inflammatory remarks against the Tea Party:

Want to watch an MSM version of Stand By Your Man? Check out the video here after the jump. Tamron Hall, theoretically an MSNBC show "host" and not a pundit, gets visibly upset with Michael Singh, a former foreign policy adviser to President George W. Bush. Singh's sin? Apparently being insufficiently enthusiastic in his praise of President Obama's handling of the Libyan situation. The irony is that Singh is anything but an isolationist. Singh supported the Libyan intervention and hardly came across as a hard partisan. But apparently anything short of fully prostrated praise for the prez is enough to...

The Iraqi who threw his shoes at Pres. Bush will be getting out of jail after serving only nine months of what was originally a three-year sentence . . . and David Shuster is pysched. Reporting on the news at the end of MSNBC's 4 PM hour today, Shuster exclaimed: "Good for him!" Co-host Tamron Hall wasn't so sure, making the incontrovertible point that Shuster wouldn't be so happy if the guy who walked early had hurled his Hush Puppies at Pres. Obama. View video here.

MSNBC’s David Shuster and Tamron Hall labeled the circulation of a photo of President Obama...a “right wing smear,” and singled out Fox News and Drudge as culprits. They brought on a Media Matters spokesman, who accused these sites of being motivated by a “racist stereotype of an oversexed black man being a predator.” They let this accusation go unanswered (audio clip from the promos and the segment available here). Shuster and Hall promoted the segment on the Obama picture from the start of the 4 pm Eastern hour of MSNBC’s live coverage. A graphic on-screen at the top of the...

Or might it have been someplace slightly lower on the anatomy? . . . Yesterday, Georgia Republican congressman Phil Gingrey took a shot at Rush Limbaugh. Today, Gingrey called Rush on the air to apologize, which in turn led MSNBC’s Tamron Hall to wonder whether Gingrey was engaging in some Rush ring-kissing. Hall posed her question [during MSNBC's 4 PM hour] to A. B. Stoddard. “Hill” editor Stoddard left no doubt that’s exactly what Gingrey was up to, and the pair shared some yucks at the representative's expense. Or might it have been someplace slightly lower on the anatomy? ....

It's times like this that make me wonder whether I inhabit a universe different from that occupied by the MSM. This morning, discussing Pres. Bush's reaction to the flying shoe incident, I wrote: Short of going full Ninja hero and snatching the shoes in mid-air, it's hard to see how Pres. Bush could have been any cooler in his handling of the Hush Puppy Hurler. But on MSNBC this afternoon, host Tamron Hall claimed that in discussing the matter with the press, the president looked "unnerved" and embarrassed. Here's a clip of Pres. Bush discussing the incident with ABC's Martha...

Good on Tamron Hall. On the one hand, as I've noted here and here, Hall let her liberal leanings show more than once when serving as a "Morning Joe" panelist. But the MSNBC anchor is also the daughter of a career Army man, and clearly knows and respects the military. When Dem John Garamendi, the California Lt. Gov., appeared on MSNBC this afternoon, Hall took the occasion to challenge him with the misleading remarks about the California National Guard that he made yesterday to Chris Matthews during an interview in which he also spoke most ungraciously, as I noted here,...

Last week Hall disclosed here that, beyond "Us Weekly," her main news source is the New York Times. Two days earlier, Hall had defended CNN's "God's Warriors" by suggesting that Christian and Jewish groups could be the next to turn violent. Today comes further evidence of Hall's liberal leanings. The MSNBC newsperson has spoken openly of her participation in events on behalf of the National Organization for Women. The admission arose on today's "Morning Joe" at 6:09 A.M. EDT. Host Joe Scarborough, discussing the Michael Vick case, suggested that whereas there has been tremendous media focus on the dogfighting charges,...

MSNBC's Tamron Hall [file photo] is a big "Us Weekly" fan. Even more disturbing: she believes that guilty pleasure is expiated by her reliance on the New York Times for her news. Hall has been taking Mika Brzezinksi's place on this week's "Morning Joe." This morning's show opened with Joe Scarborough decrying the disparate judicial treatment doled out to Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan. They have received slaps on the wrists, doing virtually no jail time for their drug-fueled escapades, whereas Paris Hilton spent over 20 days in the hoosegow. When Joe asserted that Paris has been walking the straight...
