ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday held a news conference in Lake Nona. The event comes a day after DeSantis and his wife, first lady Casey DeSantis, held a news conference in Tallahassee to announce cancer innovation fund awards.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis held a press conference at the Cape Coral Police Department on Tuesday morning to discuss combatting retail theft in Florida. DeSantis stated he is going to be working with the legislature in order to make sure those who steal from retailers are "adequately prosecuted".

DeSantis awarded $233 million to expand broadband internet access to rural communities. The money will help support 54 projects in 33 counties for broadband internet expansion. $135 million will be allocated through the Broadband Opportunity Program and $86 million in federal funds through the Multipurpose Community Facilities Program. The expansion will provide over 27,000 residential, agricultural and commercial locations with internet access in unserved and rural communities.

The Florida Commission on Ethics dismissed a complaint filed by a Trump-aligned super PAC that accused Gov.
