GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities said a trucker who transported a tiger to a county fair in Florida was treated at a hospital after the animal bit his arm. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said 25-year-old Jason Hardin of Westville apparently stuck his arm into the tiger's cage early Sunday morning. Hardin's sister said her brother was drunk at the time of the incident. A spokeswoman for the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Hardin was treated for severed tendons. Officials said the incident was strictly human error. Florida Wildlife officials inspected the exhibit and have ruled it to be safe.
