TPM captured the video of this weekend’s Saturday Night Live cold open, and it will probably come as a surprise to many readers for the reasons I’ll detail below. Their Obama impersonator, Jay Pharoah, was featured doing a fake presser on C-SPAN where he introduced Ebola czar Ron Klain, who took questions about his qualifications for the job. Rather than trying to scatter the smack talk across both parties, this was pretty much a mockery of Barack Obama’s entire second term, with the fake President himself doing the mocking. “Some people want to criticize the way our administration has...

In a seriously hilarious skit on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday, Russian President “Vladimir Putin” (Jimmy Fallon) called up former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to talk about her impressive 2008 prediction that he would invade Ukraine. We don’t want to give too much away, but Palin also busts a flute solo and “President Barack Obama” gets caught trying to listen in on their phone call. Then there’s this side-splitting one-liner from Putin: ”I come from strong genes. President Obama, he comes from mom jeans.” Trust us, you want to watch it all the way through. Watch below: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/04/03/vlad-putin-calls-sarah-palin-in-what-might-end-up-being-one-of-your-favorite-tonight-show-skits-ever/

"Saturday Night Live" devoted its opening sketch to what was last week's most bizarre story: the scandal surrounding the sign language interpreter who said he has schizophrenia and was hallucinating while signing at Nelson Mandela's memorial service. Kenan Thompson portrayed Thamsanqa Jantjie, the interpreter, during a speech given by President Barack Obama, played by "SNL's" resident president, Jay Pharoah. Jantjie “clearly had no idea what he was doing,” Pharoah's Obama said, before Thompson's faux fake interpreter appeared from behind the podium.

CHINESE "LEADER": "I'M NOTICING EACH OF YOUR PLANS TO SAVE MONEY INVOLVES SPENDING EVEN MORE MONEY." For the second time in two months, Saturday Night Live performed a skit mocking President Obama. Last month's SNL skit featured the president's lack of accomplishments. The most recent Obama skit ridiculed specific Obama policies such as "Cash for Clunkers," huge deficit spending, debt owed to the Chinese, and the stimulus plan's lack of tangible results (jobs).

AMERICANS have condemned the Hey Hey It's Saturday "Jackson Five" skit, with US TV talkshows, news bulletins and talkback radio debating whether it was racist and if Harry Connick Jr was correct to take a stand. As Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard also entered the fray today, defending the Hey Hey's intent, on one of America's top-rating morning TV talkshows, The View, it was labelled "demeaning". "We are in what people like to call post-racial America right now with (Barack) Obama in office," The View co-host, Joy Behar, said on air. "I'm not saying that it (racism) is gone, but...

Hats off to Saturday Night Live for their hilarious Obama skit last night. SNL actor Fred Armisen, in spite of performing a lousy impersonation, totally annihilated Obama for his lack of accomplishments during his nine months in the Oval Office thus far.

The true extent to which Palin-mania has come to dominate the TV news cycle hit home for me last night as I flipped through the channels on the Palin campaign’s charter flight from Reno to Denver. Within a period of about a half hour, I caught the much-anticipated debut of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night,” as well as seperate Palin documentaries on MSNBC and CNN. Tina Fey was such a dead ringer for Palin that I was tempted to open the curtains that separate the governor and her staff from the media to make sure she was...

A skit with a black-faced white student portraying Barack Obama receiving a lap dance has sparked claims of racial insensitivity and an investigation at North Dakota State University. The NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club and sorority Alpha Gamma Delta are at the center of the controversy for a lip-sync act performed for 500 people at the Mr. NDSU Pageant. People who attended the performance described what happened: A pageant contestant from Saddle and Sirloin dressed as the woman from the popular Internet video “I Got a Crush on Obama” and performed for another student who was wearing dark makeup and...

The star of the flicks based on the wildly successful fantasy books appeared in an off-color skit, dressed as a Boy Scout, propositioning an older woman (played by Dame Diana Rigg) and playing with a condom. The skit has been picked up by YouTube, where it’s drawing some outrage, but mostly amusement

CHESTERFIELD, N.J. (AP) - Contractors working in New Jersey prisons will undergo special training after a skit authorized as part of a drug treatment program for inmates featured a spoof on the Ku Klux Klan. Five employees of the Chicago-based Gateway Foundation Inc., the company whose workers approved the skit, have been fired, and the company has been cautioned that further incidents won't be tolerated, said Matthew Schuman, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections. "The company was told this better not happen again," he said. Several inmates who took part in the Jan. 6 skit at the Garden...

Excerpt: MISS RUGAMYER: Now, children, how can Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer possibly be politically incorrect? CYNTHIA: It shows insensitivity towards people with disabilities. HANK:It mentions the word Christmas. SWEET PEA: And it shows an infringement of Rudolph’s animal rights. MISS RUGAMYER: Francis, how does the song show an infringement of Rudolph’s animal rights? SWEET PEA: Because Rudolph didn’t have a choice when Santa hitched him to the sleigh. MISS RUGAMYER: Class, at this rate, we’re not going to have any songs for our program. Ok…here’s one that I’m sure will not offend anyone. Not even in Brooklyn. Jingle Bells.** Ready?...

Stanford Athletic Director Ted Leland publicly apologized and the Stanford Band agreed to impose sanctions on itself after it performed a halftime show that mocked Mormonism at a home football game against Brigham Young University on Sept. 11. Spokespeople for both the Athletic Department and the Stanford Band refused to say what the sanctions were, though The Daily has learned that they include — and may be limited to — a formal apology and a one-game suspension for Band announcer Mark Ruben, a recent Stanford graduate. The halftime show, whose script was approved by the Athletic Department, featured several jabs...
