>>Juneteenth as a federal and now state holiday is humorous to say the least. White people having a paid day off on Juneteenth is not only the antithesis of the entire day, it represents a sinister cycle of America reluctantly giving Black Americans what we are owed, and only if white America can benefit from it. We still struggle with housing, education, transportation and health because of the generational ignorance to racism. To pay white people on Juneteenth is a slap in the face to every Black American and the ancestors we come from. If these systems were so invested...

During a recent interview on Fox News, Sheriff David Clarke was asked about Hillary Clinton’s ability to garner the black vote. Clarke said he anticipated she would get a large number of black votes, though not as many as Bill Clinton did and not nearly the number Barack Obama won. I don’t think any of that was a major news flash, but during the conversation Clarke used a word to describe Clinton that got right to the heart of things: sinister. Clarke on Clinton attacking Trump

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton defended his charitable foundation's acceptance of large foreign donations on Monday, thrusting himself into a controversy that is weighing on the presidential candidacy of his wife, Hillary Clinton. "I don't think there's anything sinister in trying to get wealthy people in countries that are seriously involved in development to spend their money wisely in a way that helps poor people and lifts them up," Clinton told NBC News from Kenya, in an interview taped over the weekend.

"Left-pawed" dogs are more likely to show aggression towards strangers than "right-pawed" ones, new research suggests. It might provide little comfort to postmen who find themselves chased down the garden path, but their canine tormentors are not necessarily badly trained. It turns out they might just be “left handed”. Academics have found evidence to suggest that dogs which prefer to use their left paw are more likely to show aggression towards strangers than right-pawed ones.

Caleb Howe at Red State discovered it. Sometime today Google Maps made the Lincoln Memorial disappear. Here’s what you get if you type “Lincoln Memorial” into Google Maps: SCREEN SHOT AT LINKObviously, the FDR Memorial is not the Lincoln Memorial, though it is nearby. A look at the edit screen shows that Google Maps users have been maliciously editing the page all day in what is clearly a coordinated effort: Changed 8 hours 1 mins ago by Brian Erst Geometry: Location moved Approved 7 hours 25 mins ago by Google moderator Valerie Approved 6 hours 58 mins ago by Google...

"As presidential administrations come and go, the bureaucracy lingers on to perfect its ways, and this is nowhere more sinister than in the domain of the CIA and its allies throughout the government. The CIA has learned to hide behind its best cover -- that is, that it is an intelligence agency -- when actually it devours more money, more time, more manpower, and more effort in support of that part of its organization responsible for its overt "Fun and Games" activities all over the world (not to mention within this country). When one analyzes such activity carefully, he must realize...

COMMENT: It's all in the mind - and the desktop PCs and Macs are very different machines. There are probably more obvious statements than that in the world but not many. From the design of the computers, to their strengths and weaknesses, the sweeping contrasts between the two are enormous but sometimes it's the smallest variations that are the most telling of the them all. For example, have you ever taken a good look at something as simple their desktops? There's the recent addition of the Dock and obvious graphic subtleties but one thing, although noticeable, that barely seems to...

Study Suggests Most Chimps are Lefties By Randolph E. Schmid Associated Press posted: 15 August 2005 07:09 pm ET WASHINGTON (AP) -- When it comes to fishing tasty termites out of their mounds, wild chimpanzees don't have the right stuff. Most, in fact, are southpaws. A three-year study of 17 wild chimps in Gombe National Park, Tanzania, found that 12 of them used their left hands when using sticks to probe for termites. Four were right-handed and one was listed as ambiguously handed. "Contrary to previous claims, wild chimpanzees show population-level handedness in tool-use,'' reported the research team led by...

Berkshire reinsurance deals queried Agreements helped Gerling Global Re manipulate resultsBy Alistair Barr, MarketWatch Last Update: 12:22 PM ET April 26, 2005 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Berkshire Hathaway, embroiled in widening investigations into so-called finite reinsurance, courted controversy surrounding the products at least a decade ago, according to reports by state regulators. Finite transactions between some of Berkshire's (BRKA: news, chart, profile) (BRKB: news, chart, profile) main insurance units and a top reinsurer helped that company distort its financial statements, according to a New York Insurance Department examination report written in September 1999. (2004-07-22) -- The 9/11 commission report released today blames the 2001 terror attacks on a "failure of imagination" among government officials, and urges intelligence agencies to "hire more evil people who could effectively anticipate acts of unrestrained wickedness." According to the report, America is vulnerable to terrorism because the CIA and FBI are filled with "patriotic people of integrity who have a hard time imagining the kinds of twisted and macabre things which are the stock-in-trade of terrorists." The report recommends that intelligence agencies recruit and hire "a new generation of heartlessly wicked and depraved agents and analysts who can...
