A recent review of Indianapolis’ violence issues, specifically involving guns, from March 2018 to February 2020 found around 75% of people had multiple arrests before the homicide. IMPD said on average, both suspects and victims had more than 5 prior arrests. “The suspects, on average, were arrested at least seven times by the time of the homicide incident,” Allison Davids, Intelligence Analyst at the Crime Gun Intelligence Center, said. The report by the National Institute of Criminal Justice Reform also said at least 39% of homicides involve a group of three or more people committing violence. In these homicides, they...

David Chipman, Joe Biden’s choice to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, is in danger of not being confirmed in the Senate thanks to his work with an anti-Second Amendment group and his withholding of vital information during confirmation hearing. Several moderate Democratic senators, including Angus King of Maine and Jon Tester of Montana, don’t believe that Chipman can work with the gun industry. Other Democrats like Senators Joe Manchin question his veracity after Chipman withheld the fact that he made an appearance on Chinese state-run propaganda outlet that was used by the Communists to explain away...

Missouri Governor Mike Parson (R) announced that he had pardoned 12 people, including Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who pled guilty to firearms charges following an incident in front of their home during last summer’s violent protests after the death of George Floyd. The McCloskeys outraged black activists and Democratic radicals when they appeared on the front lawn of their house on June 28, 2020, in a viral video brandishing their weapons at protestors. The protesters were characterized in the media as “peaceful” despite the fact that several Americans had already died in the rioting. Retired policeman David Dorn, 77, was shot...

With so much interest in concealed carry these days, it’s time for me to put the spotlight on the Beretta 9mm Nano. You may be well-familiar with several larger everyday carry 9mm pistols. However, the unique miniature size of a pocket pistol brings a new set of ideas and challenges to the table.

Editor's Note: This column was co-authored by Lori Roman.Gun rights are the linchpin protecting citizens from the loss of all rights. Now, President Joe Biden and Speaker Nancy Pelosi are advancing a gun grab. Modern history provides troubling proof that loss of liberty is preceded by the disarmament of citizens. This week, the most obvious example is right before our eyes as we watch the Cuban people pleading for freedom. Fidel Castro took control of Cuba in 1959 and immediately called for removing all guns from citizens. His new communist regime sent agents door to door to coerce citizens into...

Much has been said about racism and the Second Amendment since Carol Anderson published her new book, The Second: Race and Guns in a Fatally Unequal America. Unfortunately, much of what has been said is false. Commentators including CNN, NPR, Democracy Now!, and the ACLU, just to name a few, have all interviewed Ms. Anderson and hyped her theory that the Second Amendment has its roots in racism, "anti-Blackness", and oppression. Few journalists seem to be approaching the "racist Second Amendment" narrative with a healthy dose of philosophic doubt, nor do they seem interested in questioning the accuracy and validity...

Even as President Joe Biden has called for additional gun control measures, lawmakers across the country have continued to pass so-called Second Amendment sanctuary laws or resolutions, which oppose and even prohibit or impede the enforcement of certain gun measures by the state or federal government. Proponents of “sanctuary” laws argue that many gun control resolutions are in fact a violation of the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Carroll County, Maryland became the first to explicitly use the term “sanctuary” in a resolution in May 2013, but it actually began a few years earlier...

President Joe Biden has been quick to tell reporters that he loves his shotguns, and as such tries to present himself as a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. However, everything else that Biden has said about firearms seems to be completely contradictory. Since taking office, he has repeatedly called for new gun control measures.

Fried’s office oversees Florida’s licensing division, which issues the popular CWFLs. “I just suspended the concealed weapons permits of 22 people involved in the insurrection against the United States of America instigated by Donald Trump on January 6, 2021,” Fried said in a tweet Tuesday. (Editor’s note: Florida issues a weapons license, not a permit.) “The deeply disturbing events that occurred at our nation’s Capitol on January 6th were sedition, treason, and domestic terrorism – and those individuals involved in the insurrection must be held accountable for attempting to subvert our democratic process,” Fried said in a written statement. “Since...

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) claimed the Second Amendment has been included in the Constitution because of rampant “anti-blackness” and that the foundation of the amendment is inherently racist. But two black gun owners – including one who exercised his Second Amendment right to save his life – said the ACLU is guilty of fear-mongering. Founder of Black Guns Matter Maj Toure told the Daily Caller claims the Second Amendment is racist is a tactic to “brainwash black people into believing that having the means to defend themselves is nefarious.” “I think gun control is racist, not the Second...

ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Friday on ABC’s “The View” she believed that the Second Amendment “was designed to protect slavery” by empowering local militia groups to “put down slave revolts.” Hostin said, “If you look at the history of the NRA for decades, the NRA has pushed legislation that not only supported a lot of gun ownership and the proliferation of guns but stifled the study and spread of information right, about the causes of gun violence. And when we talk about the culture of guns in this country, I’m reading an incredible book called ‘The Second’ by...

As we previously reported, Joe Biden’s CNN town hall was an acid bath.He was completely incoherent in clips like this one."And the question is whether or not we should be in a position where, you, uh, um, are why can't the, the, the experts say we know that this virus is, in fact, uh, um, is going to be, or, excuse me, we know why all the drugs approved are not temporarily approved…" https://t.co/I9IQvhH9i8— Zach Parkinson (@AZachParkinson) July 22, 2021He also ended up talking about aliens and lying his head off, including even saying that you couldn’t catch the Wuhan...

Happening in Congress this week:Pelosi puts the finishing touches on her January 6th “insurrection” kangaroo court.Biden’s nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, David “Chippy” Chipman, works his way through Congress, as well as the cable news and comedy channels (often the same). Most recently he made his case for the appointment by mocking gun owners, comparing them to “Tiger King” and zombie doomsday preppers.Chippy sounds as lucid and discreet as the lunatic who nominated him, they should make a great team. Not that it’s likely Chippy will make it through the Senate confirmation process, but it...

During his Wednesday night CNN town hall, President Joe Biden talked about a “push to eliminate” 9mm pistols that have an ammunition capacity beyond that of which the left approves. Biden said, “The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a 9mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous. I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”

A downside of the record sales in firearms is that the price of said firearms is also at record levels. For many, that could mean that you’re priced out of an AR-15 or a Glock handgun. While there are probably good options in “used” firearms, another option is to build one instead.
