Schroeppel, NY -- The man who was shot and killed during an apparent burglary Saturday at a Schroeppel home has been tentatively identified. Oswego County Sheriff's officials said Timothy Hartigan, 39, was killed after Deanna Candee, 48, and her son, Adam Candee, 25, came home to their residence at 211 Hilltop Drive to find an intruder. A violent struggle ensued during which Deanna Candee got her pistol and shot Hartigan once, sheriff's officials said. Hartigan, who has no known permanent address, was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's officials said.
