The federal government filed a sealed response Friday to the Supreme Court involving a mystery case with possible ties to special counsel Robert Mueller. CNN reports that the federal government has filed a response to a temporary pause the court put on an order holding an unnamed, foreign government-owned company in contempt. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts halted the contempt order on Sunday after a lower court upheld the order earlier this month. Homeowners would be hit with a $150 annual "parcel tax" to help fund Los Angeles public schools -- on top of the hundreds of dollars they already pay annually for construction -- under a proposal introduced Tuesday.
